Nelson Bay is just great.
Nelson Bay is just great. I dont live too far, in Newcastle, but we always had family trips to the bay for Christmas. And I want my son to have the same experiences I did when I was younger. It is just far away that it really does feel like we are on holidays somewhere alot further away. The shops, the cafes, the resturants, bars, everything is at your door step. Summer time is amazing, the bay has the most beautiful colours, everyone enjoying the sun. It is definitely 10/10Guest review byKristyAustralia - 10.0

We liked our villa, very comfortable, the camp kitchen was the best we have seen. The grounds and amenities were great, reception staff very friendly. We did not find anything to complain about. We had some great meals close to the holiday park. Easy walking to the shops in the Main Street .Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

I liked that we had the beach so handy, even though it was winter, and hubby played putt putt, and we enjoyed a hit of tennis. We were warm and cosy in our cabin, but I would like to visit in Spring or Autumn when its a little warmer to have BBQ's and sit outside at the Cafe. Overall a nice spot to stay, and handy to other activities, amenities and sightseeing.Guest review byKrisAustralia - 4.0

Great shower, and that is where it stops, massive gap under the door let's cold in and dust only a small hand broom to go over the floor it was so gritty to walk on blinds don't fit properly so cannot keep the light out plus when it's windy they swing so light dark light dark and only 1 thin blanket to keep warm noisy heating overall would not stay againGuest review byAnneAustralia - 4.0
The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating.
The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating. Could not use the shower or the air conditioner due to there below poor condition, including foul smell. Beds were terrible. Motel was cramped with terrible parking. It was a very unpleasant stay, we couldn’t wait to leave.Guest review byJodieAustralia - 8.0

Loved the location of Bannisters which is right across the road from the Bowling Club and down below Bannisters is the sailing club where you can get a coffee overlooking the water. There are quite a few restaurants nearby and Holberts Prawn and Oysters are a few minutes drive away.Guest review byCharlesAustralia - 10.0
So much to see and do.
So much to see and do. The people of Fingal Bay and surrounds take great pride in their towns, everything is so clean and well maintained. The views are amazing, lots of places to enjoy good food or a cocktail. Do yourself a favor and head to Fingal Bay and surrounds! Must do is a trip out to Tea Gardens on the Original Tea Gardens Ferry. Kerry the captain is full of information and daily the dolphins swim on the side of the ferry on the trip across the beautiful waters. Another must do is a trip to Anna Bay Sand Dunes and ride the camels, have breakfast or lunch at The Crest Cafe at Birubi Beach while you're there.Guest review byJacquiAustralia - 8.0

We only stayed the one night but Medowie appears to be a great little town. It's obviously a good community everything is tidy and well cared for. The newly refurbished pub is definitely the place to be on a Saturday night with great food & entertainmentGuest review byeltoro_56Australia - 10.0

Karuah was a great place to get to and experience what it has to offer. Access was easy for everything. The RSL offered a good array of meals and the price was reasonable. I note that there was also a Pizzeria in Karuah - maybe we will try that next time.Guest review byGayleAustralia - 10.0

We love taking our dog on holiday with us - so Anna Bay has a big dog friendly beach which also has shallow end. The "locals" were all really friendly, relaxed and gave helpful suggestions. Good pub , pizza place, fish n chips n hamburger joint. Ideal for really relaxed casual holidayGuest review byDeniseAustralia
