- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 496 reviewsThe cabin was very clean, bright, airy and cheerful with a functional kitchen. There was also sufficient laundry facilities nearby. It is a short drive to all of the attractions we planned to visit and the information booklet on places of interest, town amenities was very helpful. To see the beautiful parrots, cockatoos as well as kangaroos around the property was so fun and enjoyable for us as was the walk to the dam of lake Bellfield.Guest review byPearl Lee LianSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 70 reviewsFantastic location in the beautiful nature. lots of wildlife around the cabin and daily visits from kangaroos etc. The cabin (Treehouse) was nicely designed and decorated with a mix of concrete, wood and a nice color combination. Warm welcome from Janene. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. We would highly recommend the place and will return.Guest review byHenningDenmark

Halls Gap is a small town abutting the beautiful Grampians National Park. Halls Gap town has many facilities for a short stay. The main attraction of the town is its direct access to walking trails. There is a range of trails, and they cater to many fitness levels. Much has been done to improve accessibility and safety in the National Park in recent years. The unique rock formations that can be seen from the town and the myriad wildlife all around are a real drawcard. Having a car allows you to see more of the park, and I'd say, is a must. It's a place I have visited more than 10 times, and I'll keep coming back.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Liked the Wannon Waterfalls within 20 minutes of the town.
Liked the Wannon Waterfalls within 20 minutes of the town. Unfortunately, the other one was closed for repairs and signage was not used to inform travellers. So many people, including me would have driven many kms out of their way from either end of the access road to the falls. Why didn’t the authorities who had approved the repairs to Nigretta Falls consider the impact and waste of fuel for many tourists over the many months this site has been closed? There are some great bluestone old churches and Victorian style houses with great iron lace work in the township. The Information Centre is stylish and well presented with helpful staff.Guest review byGraemeAustralia - 10.0

Ararat is a lovely town in itself and has everything you need, town hall, art gallery, many shops, antiques, eating places, gift shops, swimming pool, indoor and out, recreation, park, drives up to Halls Gap and tourist attractions areas. Didn't like the mess and Barracks much, it was cheap and very pub style.Guest review byMareeAustralia - 8.0

Lake Tyrell was absolutely amazing - I’m sure you could visit everyday and see something different! Sea lake is a pretty little town with friendly locals and a great pub for meals. Green Lake is another little hidden gem in the area. Silo art was great - especially being lit up at night. Really enjoyed our time in Sea Lake.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

A few pubs at Nhill, however the recommended place was shut for Sunday dinner unfortunately. Owner was helpful however and suggested a couple of alternatives (the only alternatives in Nhill!!!) Not much there but a friendly town halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. Think there was a bakery but that was closed. The IGA was open thank goodness.Guest review bySuzyQ17Australia - 8.0

It is a fascinating town, old goldfields, amazing 19thC architecture, good caravan park. For us it's been a transit overnight being halfway between Adelaide Hills Home and Falls Creek, with numerous trips to family winter and summer last 12 or so years. Worth a longer stay but ...circumstances... A shout-out to the Farmers Arms Hotel for good pub food on a Sunday evening!!Guest review byTim FatchenAustralia - 10.0

So much to do in town and the area. Charming town, friendly locals, excellent food at Victoria Hotel, & Cat Clarke's restaurant which featured local produce & bush tucker. Lake Tyrell and the silo art in the area are well worth your time!Guest review byMichaelAustralia - 10.0

Brilliant sample of country Victoria/Australia; genuine warm country welcome amid towering gums, native bushlands, great birdlife and cute animals. The easy walk through bushland to town delivers great food, sensational wine list and great morning coffee. ...and I'm a professional tour guide showing tourists around, so I'm a well-informed "purchaser"Guest review byLuigi De SotoAustralia
