Darwin has a great layback feel and totally relaxing.
Darwin has a great layback feel and totally relaxing. Car hire is useful as limited public transport..Great place to sit back for a drink and meal and watch the sunset is the Darwin Sailing club and the Trailer sailing club which are located next to each other. Mindil markets are great to look at all the stalls and a large variety of food stalls available.Parap has a markets every week .All available is "Mad about Coffee " which is superb and a lovely shop called "Elevate " which carries a variety of Australian sourced gifts and beautiful clothing.Guest review byFrom down underAustralia - 8.0

Cabin accom was a mobile unit split in 2 , very basic with 1 window, but had its own shower and toilet, Camp kitchens dotted around was handy. Pool was well maintained and clean. Excellent position to Berry springs NP, Good shops and Pub nearby at Berry Springs.Guest review byStephen - 2.0

I liked most is the bed as it’s very comfy to lay my back on it.Room is big and very clean. The owners are very kind and friendly.Even the son of the owner gave us a warm welcome always wearing sweet smile on his face. The property is very clean.Highly recommended.Haven’t got the chance to see around beautiful views but there are lots of tourists spots in this area.We just ordered food through grab as we are tired from our long hours of flight .Very easy to get around the area ,very quiet neighbourhood. Next visit I will make sure to bring a car with me to see more of this area and stay longer.Guest review byMarlenePhilippines - 8.0

Very well located to the Parap marketplace, but very quiet and with little traffic. Very easy to drive about Darwin and to get into the city. Some good features within walking distance, incl Museum and Beach and lots of cafes.Guest review byPeter - 10.0

BEWARE!!
BEWARE!! On arrival everything seemed fine, clean tidy and with all necessary amenities. After dark the horrible truth was revealed. When we turned on the kitchen light there were approximately 7/8 cockroaches of varying sizes (including babies) in the kitchen. This was repeated everytime the kitchen light went on Throughout the night this continued. We found them in the bedrooms, the ensuite and even my suitcase. We had to leave the lights on all evening to reduce the amount that were scurrying around the house. When I contacted the owner to advise (and included 7 separate photos of the roaches) I was told that I was a nightmare guest, that I was hysterical and it was 'just a few little roaches mate'. Good luck if you choose to stay here.Guest review byrachelAustralia - 10.0

We loved everything about Darwin it is very easy to get around. So much to see and do and the weather was beautiful. We went to the Croc Jumping which was great as we had never seen them in their natural environment before. Found so many beautiful restaurants to dine at, Pee Wees at the Point, Il Piatto Italian, Meraki Greek restaurants just to name a few. The weather in August was beautiful and watching the sunsets from the beach were spectacular. All in all we had a fantastic time and will definately be back..Guest review byDanielleAustralia
