- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 84 reviewsWe loved sitting on the veranda watching the kookaburras and parakeets.Plenty of room for 4 of us with great facilities and a homely feel. Great to be able to do some washing and dry it on the line at the back and borrow bikes. We loved going wine tasting at the Cellar doors and good location for that with several within walking distance. A big thank you to Birdie who helped me sort a phone issue and was delightful.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 106 reviewsWas a home away from home. Everything thought of, so many little thoughtful touches. Was close to town for supplies & for our wine tour where they would pick us up & drop off. We got text messages about arrival plus check up ones making sure all was fine. Was just lovely. Very peaceful & we took up the BBQ pack which was enough for 2 nights. Supply for breakfast, we couldn't even finish as so much.Guest review byLeanneNew Zealand

A great little town. Friendly store keepers.
A great little town. Friendly store keepers. Lots of goodies to be found. And (most important for me,) the terrain is perfect to leave the car at the hotel and go for a long long walk! We brought our own food - mainly to save the pennies and the facility worked for us.Guest review byHeddle - 10.0

Nuriootpa and its very close neighbour Tanunda are the ideal locations to stay for the wine regions of Barossa and Edin Hills. They are driving distance to the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley which make fabulous day trips. There are great restaurants and fabulous wineries all through the area. You will need a car to get the most out of this area but be smart and book one of the private day tours of the wineries so everyone can have a try. It is lots of fun. Don’t miss Laughing Jack winery. It has limited opening days (Friday and Saturday only) but is well worth a bit of organising to make it. Great Red wines at very reasonable prices. Tomfoolery is a fun winery with lots of character. Be sure to ask the origins of the names of the wines as there are some very funny stories. Try 1918 for a fabulous meal.Guest review bySharlaneAustralia - 10.0

The location was great and the Villla was spacious and so clean. It was also in excellent condition like brand new. The Villas do back on to the main road which is a little noisy at night for those who want complete quiet. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay longer. Would stay there again.Guest review byAllison - 8.0

There are many wineries to visit and a number of nice restaurants to dine in. We ate at The Lou's, Maggie Beer's and The Vintners. I think Vintners was the best. Food was tasty and the price was correct.Guest review byThomasAustralia - 10.0

Great location with easy access to the wineries and other attractions in the region. Enjoyed great railway station playground at :Angaston and coffee all around the region. Lunch at Fino Seppeltsfield was an extra special treat with wonderful food and wine selection.Guest review bySueAustralia - 8.0

The Cheese Factory tasting in main street was outstanding and the local ladies there were so pleasant and helpful. Excellent quiet location, beautiful town with lots of well maintained historic buildings and homes. If eating out evenings likely you will need to go to Tanunda for better choice and quality of venue. This was a disappointing aspect given the availability of locally produced food and wine in area. If self catering, the Supermarket was well stocked.Guest review byDavidAustralia - 10.0

Bethany is a quiet little village just out of Tanunda. The accommodation was a couple of kilometres away from the town, very quiet. All shopping and eating was in Tanunda, and all very good with service and quality.Guest review byCarey - 10.0

It was absolutely incredible - the cottage - more like a home that was renovated, so much room, amazing kitchen and the host Alex made sure there was wood fire, special local condiments. Couldn’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough! My favourite sitting outside on the porch watching the sunset with a wine. We will be backGuest review byAnitaAustralia - 10.0

Marananga is close to wineries. having a car to get around helps, as you can visit any winery you like, when it suits you. The Barossa is very easy to navigate. It is close to Tanunda, which has lots of shops and some very good restaurants, l918 and Ferment Asian, both well worth a visit. If you are from interstate, you could easily spend a week around the Barossa area. I just love it.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 8.0

Springton is a charming little village with a lot of character. It's worth going to to see the Herbig family tree alone. It is VERY quiet which is great if you want to get away from it all - it's only a short drive to wineries and towns with cafes, shops etc. There was not much to do but relax at our accommodation which suited us. At the time of our visit the pub was closed and for sale, as was what looked like a cafe - it would be nice to walk to get a coffee or a meal. If the pub and cafe were to reopen, this little town would be perfect in my view!Guest review byIantheAustralia
