We chose Tyrol as our holiday destination and Walchsee based on recommendations. The guesthouse met our expectations, the accommodation was comfortable, the breakfast rich and the surroundings beautiful. We appreciate that in Tyrol, tourists are a part of everyday life, and it was busy around the guesthouse - cows with typical bells were grazing nearby, farmers were mowing the grass. It rained for two days of our stay, but even that can be solved. In the guide we received, there are a number of activities that can be done in the rain, so we went through the fortress in nearby Kufstein. In the vicinity, we recommend the gorge of the Griesbach stream (Griesbachklamm, the starting point is the parking lot in the village of Erpfendorf). A circular walk with an elevation gain of approx. 300 m and a length of 11 km leads through two farmhouses where you can have refreshments. Payment is only possible in cash, as in many other places. If you have children, the Steinplatte mountain (height 1869 m), accessible by cable car from Weidring, is definitely worth a visit. At the top, you can spend a few hours in the Triassic Park, where children can play archaeologists, poke around in the sand and run around. The good news is that the price of the cable car includes both trips (up and down) and there is a discount for the visitor card. Even if there is a cable car going up, it does not lead to the top itself, and one has to earn its way to reach it... There is a restaurant right in Weidring near the church where you can pay by card. There are many attractions in Walchsee, especially the lake with water sports, but also several stables with the possibility of riding horses. Of the restaurants, we tried only the Pizzeria - beware, it is hopelessly full in the evening, but if you come around five in the afternoon, you can eat without any problems.

They greet you daily, make sure everything works and goes as you need it, and help you with valuable info on what to do and how to do it. 5 Star Hospitality! The room was great, clean, large, and had a big TV. It had Wi-Fi, hot water, water pressure, daily room cleaning, beautiful Windows, and a mountain view. Excellent quality breakfast and dinner ( half board choice is a must !) The Spa Center is excellent! The view from the Spa relaxing room is absolutely gorgeous. There is a Coldwater pond to dive în after the sauna! Massage provided by Sandra super! The country Sky tracks în 5 meters away, and you have a lot of choices! It was what we looked for, and the Cherry on Top for us was meeting these wonderful People, Leonard and Katrin and their family! Thank you very much, beautiful People, for such a great vacation value you provided!

House was very impressive, much better than the photos. Beautiful modern design, high ceilings, beautiful views from windows. Private garden was lovely as well, but we could not use it due to bad weather. Air conditioning in all rooms is something very hard to find in this area. We came in peace of mind knowing we will enjoy even if a heatwave comes. Location was great. Very close supermarket nearby, as well as short walking distance to the lake. Owners were very responsive over email, and helped us with local services and trip suggestions.

Good variety of choices for breakfast. Don't forget the dinner, it is a must-have, especially the grilled trout. The room is spacious, nice and clean, and the hotel has sauna and spa on the top floor. We had a very pleasant ski vacation there, and I believe it would be also a wonderful experience in summer.

Everything, the nocturn walk through the woods with Glühwein and kinderpunch for the kids around the fire at the end was a nice touch! Thanks to Herr Ballberger for organizing this. The swimming pool, for parents and children with the wasserspielplatz for them. The farm with the animals....

Hotel has a great location in central Kössen with many cafeterias and restaurants close by. Room was spacious, kitchenette well-equipped & the wellness area fantastic. Owners and staff were all welcoming and charming people. Highly recommended. Hope to get back here again at some point.

Fantastic location Central to town. Wonderful traditional style Austrian restaurant downstairs, great food. very good breakfast. modern new bathroom. Easy parking. Super friendly hosts. 

Everything. One couldn't ask for a better hotel. It's been a few days since we checked out - and it remains to be one of the best hotels I have had the privilege to experience.

The hotel is close to several ski zones. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the pool and spa. Great experience overall.
