We stayed with 2 small children for one night and we had an excellent experience. Wverytging was perfect, including the brekafast. Very comfortable beds, the hotel is really clean and the staff is helpful and friendly as well as the staff in the nearby restaurant.

    The spa resort is very well maintained and very clean. The sauna world is an amazing place, and the classes are a great experience. The staff are friendly and speak many languages, including English. If the staff did not speak English, they kindly asked people around to help translate. We learnt a little of the German language, and they did not judge us for trying. I'd advise learning the German language before travelling it helps. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were modern.

    The staff were super helpful and friendly (they even helped us find some clothes we forgot and sent it to our next hotel!). The hotel has gorgeous views over the countryside and the food is really fresh and locally grown. The Spa was great to relax in and stayed open until 9pm. They also provided a garage space for us to park our bikes, which was really handy for the Danube River Way.

The apartment we stayed in was large, confortable and well heated, having 4 beds, a large bathroom and a spacious kitchen with a large window overlooking the countryside.     Good luck finding food on a Thursday night at 9:30pm. Most restaurants close then. I found a kebab place, which promptly informed me "only pizza though" - fine, except they insisted on cash only ... so I ended up at the only available option: Mac. And then: Well, hey, it's Braunau: famous for one thing and one thing only – tbf it's not their fault, I suppose. But not a nice vibe nevertheless.

    Small, old Austrian town with houses from a postcard... We could not believe our eyes that all houses in the old town were actually old and they were all beautifully renovated. The Inn is very close to the main square, it's worth taking a stroll along the river.

    From my point of view typical spa town, clean and quiet. Nice park for a walk. Limited choice of restaurants except in hotels. I recommend visit Mostheuriger Am Hochfeld. There is possible to taste same regional food and drinks. There is nice view towards Salzkammergut. Close to other interesting places, e.g. Schlogenerblick, Gmunden, atc.

    It's a small, charming town without the feel of tourists...

    It's a small, charming town without the feel of tourists getting in the way. Lots of pretty town houses with decorated windows and pastel colors. I'm not sure there's much to do at night and we didn't get to try the restaurants. It was just a short stay. I'd go back, but I'd try for a cheaper place to stay for the night.

    A very positive surprise.

    A very positive surprise. The tow has some nice restaurants and a lot of activities in the surrounding. We would have loved to stay at least a day more. The walking or biking tour of the views of the danube including the Schlogener Schlinge seems very interesting. Getting arround is easy on foot or on bike. Overall it's a great spot for nature tourism.

    A rather quiet village with a train station situated at the river Inn. As it was out of season there was not a lot to do. There are not a lot of shops. We ate at the hotel and did not see another restaurant, they were closed so it looked.

    Unfortunately we arrived when the hotel restaurant and bar were closed (Thursdays) had we known we would have cancelled the booking. We always book for hotel with restaurant/ bar and parking. The evening attendant spoke no english and made no effort to try and help our limited german understanding. We found him rude. Thankfully within a 20 minute walk we found a great hotel where we ate very well and had a few beers. See photos. Booking.Com and hotel need to make it much clearer at time if booking that their facilities could be limited on arrival. Shame really as breakfast was reasonable. However their loss. would not stay again due to attitude on arrival. Thankfully only stayed one night.

    A pretty little village in Austria linked to another nice village with a castle on top of a hill opposite. Access on foot (or by bike) is excellent. The castle buildings are accessible though not open before 11 am. Great views, well worth a visit if one likes such places.
