- From £260.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 177 reviewsThis was our first holiday as a family of three with our 4 month old baby boy - it couldn't have been more perfect!! Booking rather last minute and I was only able to book half-board which I have never done before however we will be coming back and we will be booking half-board again. The breakfast and dinners are out of this world! The choices available are incredible! The room was wonderful, wonderful views of the mountains from both of our balconies. Just perfect! For anyone with small children who want to get out and experience the mountains still, this is the place for you, the paths up and down the valleys and even up the mountains to a few huts/peak pushchair accessible. The staff were all excellent, incredibly friendly and the owners are also wonderful, working alongside their team. This whole experience couldn't have been more perfect for our little Family, so many firsts for our Son and so many precious memories made! Thank you and we most definitely will be back! 🥺☺️🏞️🏖️Guest review byPoppy17Austria
- From £472.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 367 reviewsWe discovered this hotel and its location completely by chance — and it turned out to be an absolute gem. The entire setting is beautifully designed, with attention paid to every detail. Although the hotel is quite spacious, the way it’s laid out gives it a cozy, almost boutique feel. The wellness area is truly exceptional. We especially appreciated the textile-free zone and were pleasantly surprised by how respectfully other guests behaved — it created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities cater equally well to those seeking an active holiday or pure relaxation. We loved that you can borrow bikes, trekking poles, and backpacks — we took advantage of the bike rental and everything was in perfect condition and super easy to arrange. All in all, this is genuinely one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at — and we travel a lot. Highly recommended!Guest review byHankaCzech Republic
- From £298.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 154 reviewsThe two ladies at breakfast were so pleasant and made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. Made waking up a pleasure. The breakfast buffet was the best we've ever had at any hotel. The lakeside lounge area was also special. The rooftop spa area was tastefully done with views over the lake and mountains, although a 2pm opening time for the sauna felt overly restrictive.Guest review byJeremyUnited Kingdom
- From £164.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,165 reviewsALL of the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind. It was the kind of place we didn’t want to leave, so we stayed an extra day! The room with its fresh wood finish was great - a very nice room to have. We enjoyed the meals which can only be described as gourmet. They were incredibly tasty, and we had a nice choice from the items on the menu, which changed each day.Guest review byJohnCanada

Pertisau is the location for the (fictional) Chalet School (...
Pertisau is the location for the (fictional) Chalet School (the first book, The School at the Chalet, was published 100 years ago in 1925), so anyone who has read the books will find it instantly recognisable, even today. Even without that link, the Achensee is a wonderful base in which to spend time in the Austrian alps, with plenty to do and see in summer. There are fantastic walks in the area and hotels and guesthouses offer a free travel card which can be upgraded for less than 100 euros to a week-long holiday card offering free travel on the ferries, cable cars and the famous Achenseebahn, as well as free entries to the local museums in Pertisau, Achenkirche and Maurach.Guest review byShirleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Excellent little town in the most stunning area with super friendly people and great options for multiple activities such as hiking, stand-up paddling, sailing, playing tennis, swimming, sunbathing, playing golf or mini golf, riding bikes or taking the ferry or local tram to explore the area! There are great restaurants as well, where every wish of yours is easily fulfilled! We absolutely loved it and will come back for sure!Guest review byRojaGermany - 10.0

A beautiful unspoiled natural area, lovely welcoming people. The scenery is so stunning. So few British people seem to visit and we don’t understand why! It was lovely in summer, swimming in the lake, and in winter we returned for walking and skiing.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
