Everything was perfect. The beds were good although the double bed was very soft. The room was big enough for us (2 adults, 2 kids). Everything was there we needed - towels, toilet paper, soap. The location is great, near many restaurants and markets. The breakfast was amazing - coffee, milk, tea, ham, eggs, jam, honey, burek and croissants.

The hotel was very modern, clean and super comfortable. Everything is newly furbished, with very spacious rooms with modern design. The breakfast has just the right amount of variety and its very delicious and fresh. The hotel overall was super clean, and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed at Vila Sela in Shkoder and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The place is very cozy, with a stunning view over the sea — both during breakfast and at sunset, which was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. A special thank you to Elvis, the host, who was truly exceptional: always available, incredibly attentive, and genuinely kind. He made us feel at home from the very first moment. One morning, even though we had to leave early for Lake Komani, he prepared a special breakfast for us outside the usual hours — such a thoughtful gesture we won’t forget. I highly recommend Vila Sela to anyone visiting Shkoder. It was without a doubt one of the best experiences of our trip to Albania!

The stay was very pleasant. What we liked the most was the cleanliness and hospitality. Everything was tidy, clean, and the staff was extremely polite. The owners were always there ready for any need or suggestion we had. They made you feel at home. The hotel conditions were very good, the environment quiet and suitable for a peaceful rest. And although breakfast was not included in the price, it was prepared with care and according to our wishes. Truly a place that I would recommend to spend your holidays.

    The Resort is right by the lake and thus makes the perfect peaceful cooldown stop on a summer vacation in hot Albania. We loved our stay here away from the noisy city. Also, the restaurant is great with big portions and very reasonable pricing. We stayed in one of the air conditioned hotel rooms, but even the campsites are all fairly private and provide lots of natural shade! Would absolutely stay here again!

    I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Athina in Velipojë. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, which made it very convenient. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a family holiday. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Velipojë.

    Theth is breathtaking!

    Theth is breathtaking! At times I compared it to Switzerland. Other times to Nepal. The mountains are dramatic and the village, although bursting and bustling with tourists and hotels and restaurants - still maintains an authentic feel. The road to Theth is quite an experience with many switchbacks up and down and with traffic coming at you- you need a stomach of iron, but it’s so worth it to arrive on this gem of a valley. The road in the village is not paved so drive slowly. We had a fantastic dinner at villa Gjecaj restaurant- beautiful setting, peaceful and amazing food. Lots of hiking options. Pack your boots.

    This was our favorite spot in Albania.

    This was our favorite spot in Albania. It's secluded and personal and the staff was exceptional. Mark had us laughing the whole time and Sando kept us entertained with Raki and stories of Albania. We sat on the floating dock at night and saw every star in the sky. They took us to the beach for the day and we skipped rocks and swam in the freezing water under the hot sun. There was plenty to do at the beach, including zip lining, a DJ, bars, and more. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'll never forget the friends we made there!

    It was the first time to be in Velipoje.

    It was the first time to be in Velipoje. It's not a big city but I am positively surprised. The Velipoja beach (where we were placed) was clean, the water was so clear and warm. The kids part with the toys at the center of the city was excellent. The food was good tasted, fresh and the staff was very polite.

    Mountains and hiking but without tourists and crowds like in Theth. Friendly and accommodating locals because most tourists do not stay overnight in Boge. Boge is only a quick stop for coffee then people continue to/from Theth.

    Reviews we read of Shkoder said it's a university town with lots of biking. Not sure what those reviewers were writing about, but there weren't many bike friendly areas and the town was not as vibrant as we expected. We did spend some time in the Shiroka area on the lake a 10 minute or so drive from Shkoder and that was very nice - good restaurants and lake activities. We also went to the mountains and stayed in Theth, which was wonderful and highly recommended.

    Theth is a little town surrounded by beautiful mountains. It has a few good restaurants, several good hiking options, things of historic and cultural interest and good swimming spots. It now has a few shops, an atm and a tourist office. It also has a zip wire which was fun!

    We stayed at the hotel before and after our river tour. It's an excellent place to stay for that purpose and there is an excellent swimming facility on the lake. We didn't checkout additional activities in the area.

    The hotel is close to the beach, which was great.

    The hotel is close to the beach, which was great. The pool was small but clean, and my son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was OK, and there are small shops nearby, along with parking available. I would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for one issue: the cooking utensils. If you plan to book an apartment, I recommend bringing your own cooking pans, or you’ll be disappointed.

    Shkoder is a lovely city with great views, food and nice accommodation facilities. It's a safe place for families and youths with lots of activities around. In particular, the main city area near the beautiful Mosque is an absolute must for awesome food and shopping.
