Very homey as it’s not a big hotel (pousada) - this also allowed for a friendlier, relaxed relationship with the staff. The room was extremely comfortable as well as large with a magnificent view of the castle that overlooks the town. The swimming pool is extremely pleasant and a refreshing end for some of the hot days we had. Breakfast was excellent in a cosy room and service impeccable.. We had a lovely week. We had a very early start on the day we left (5.30 am) and the staff prepared us a packed breakfast and coffee - which is something I have never encountered before. The room was cool and quiet with virtually noise free air con. Netflix was a great bonus. The location was great and the swimming pool and village area was excellent.
