It was an easy walk across the river to Ice Hotel and Sami Museum as the lake was frozen and the weather was good in the afternoon during our stay. The host is very friendly and helpful. The glass igloo was beautiful as well.

In winter, you need to keep the stove burning constantly; otherwise, it can get quite cold. However, even this adds to the unique and enjoyable experience. Dinner was very satisfying in a great atmosphere.

The host came to greet us and ask if we needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was warm and had lots of windows to let in natural light. The bed was comfortable and the blankets & quilt made for a warm stay. There were good storage facilities and cooking facilities if you wanted to stay for a long trip. The local community and surrounding environment also helped make for a perfect location.

On the banks of the river, this motel is in Sangis just 100 metres from the E4 motorway and 20 km from Kalix. Host is very friendly and accommodating and breakfast was very good
