Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

Casa Adriano & Filomena Montrond si trova a Portela e offre un bar. Questa struttura mette a disposizione un balcone e il parcheggio privato gratuito. We had the most wonderful stay with Adriano, Filomena and their whole family. They are some of the most warm, welcoming and kind people we have ever met! Their property is in an incredible spot in the caldera with views all around. From the airport pick up, to the amazing home cooked meals, to our guided hike, everything was just great. Highly highly recommend staying here!!

Casa Ze & sonia offre la vista sulla montagna, il WiFi gratuito e un parcheggio privato gratuito a Portela. Troverete un bagno privato completo di doccia e set di cortesia. Ze and Sonia welcomed us with infinite care. The location, right in the middle of the Caldeira is ideal. Sonia is an exceptional cook!! This is a place we will not forget. 👍

The place was very comfortable and with everything you need to enjoy some days and chill at the village of Chá das Caldeiras. The guided hike to climb the volcano was also great and a very complete experience overall. Our host, José, was always very kind, helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this place for anyone who wants an authentic getaway to relax and enjoy a few days by the volcano.

Dotato di una terrazza, un bar e vista sulla città, Cruzeiro Guest House è un alloggio ubicato a São Filipe a 10 metri da Spiaggia di São Filipe. Spacious, clean room with a sea view, you can sleep listening to the waves. The staff was very friendly and helpful, good breakfast served at the roof. Super happy with this accommodation. :)

Casa Marisa 2.0 presenta un giardino, una terrazza, un ristorante e un bar a Portela. The whole village was buried by lava in 1991. The village collectively decided to rebuild. Thus the location, next to Pico do Fogo, is otherworldly. Like Mars. So, that is the setting. We met Mountain Guide Mustafa, one of the proprietors. Coolest dude ever. He has heck of a life story to tell. Casa Marisa is rustic and Perfect considering the wild location. It is not easy to build on hardened lava. I absolutely recommend staying at Casa Marisa. Awesome Place! And try climbing Pico do Fogo, or the other easier hikes. Or the myriad other activities offered.

COSEC Tours presenta una piscina all'aperto, una sala comune, un ristorante e un bar a Cova Figueira. The location is good, at the edge of a peaceful and friendly village means no noises at night. Also not far from Fogo viewpoint (20min drive). Bus station 30sec walking, supermarket and restaurant 10sec as both are available directly in / at the house. The owner is super friendly and is easily available via booking or WhatsApp. The room is big, with a big comfy bed and enough plugs to charge your stuff. There is a small balcony, and the bathroom has a good shower with hot water. Everything is clean and the WiFi works great. Secured parking is also available. There is a nice terrace with a pool and great views. I really liked my stay here and can totally recommend this place.

Stayed one night and very pleased. I did the walk from the airport and yes about 20 minutes flat. The room was clean and the A/C worked well. Great location, right near the square. I really liked the spacious balcony. Breakfast provided and on the more basic side but still fine to start the day.
