This was our fourth trip to Japan and we've stayed in many ryokans. This is one of our favorites. The space we stayed at was huge. It was a two-story stand alone building. The seats looked out onto the courtyard with a pond and a lot of trees, which was very peaceful. I'm usually not the type to stay in my hotel/ryokan all day, but this place tempted me to do so due to the serenity of the courtyard. There were two private onsen that were easy to access due to the small number of guests that stay here. The food was fabulous. While walking around one morning I found a hiking trail that led up to castle ruins. The next morning I hiked up to the ruins and down the other side and came out near the Moss Land.

Stayed 2 days at the hotel and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. They even had a English speaking staff to assist foreign tourists. I really felt "omotenashi" during my stay here. The facilities were great too and I'm so happy that they had free washing machine. You just needed to pay another 100 yen to dry your clothes for 20 mins. It was great that you could enjoy the onsen, wait for your laundry to finish, then enjoy the free ice-cream or probiotic drink after the onsen. Had breakfast during the New Year period and the food was great. There was a change in the menu on day 2, so I was impressed.

La struttura dell'hotel è molto curata e accogliente. Lo staff parlava discretamente inglese. La stanza matrimoniale ha le misure tipiche delle stanze giapponesi(più piccole rispetto a quelle a cui siamo abituati in Europa), tuttavia era molto accogliente, bagno molto bello, con doccia spaziosa e dotato di tutti i comfort. Bellissima visuale sul lago. Nella hall si trova un angolo dove si possono ritirare diverse amenities gratuite per gli ospiti compresi gli yukata. L'onsen era molto pulito con splendida vista sul lago. Non abbiamo provato la colazione quindi non possiamo commentare in merito. Wi-fi molto buono. Vi è una comoda lavanderia a gettoni e un piccolo Konbini al pianterreno dell'edificio annesso. Posizione ottima, a pochi minuti dal castello, un po' più distante dalla stazione dei treni (25 minuti). L'albergo ha anche uno spazioso parcheggio per le auto.

The breakfast was really good and the employees were kind. The small onsen was also geat-- it was clean. If you stay for more that 3 days you can get a free performance of a traditional Shimane instrument. The location is about 20 minutes away from Tamatsukuri onsen station but it's near a cafe and other restaurants.
