amazing people, amazing interior, best stay during our trip in Zanzibar. next time must have is to take an option with included breakfast, we were sad that we did not choose this option. room nr. 1 was amazing, our best recommendations to our friends and everyone. super location, you can walk for few hours, than come back and go for a walk again, because everything is very close and you do not need to leave the hotel for all day.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

This is, without a doubt, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality that instantly made me feel at home. The attention to detail throughout my stay was extraordinary, turning this trip into an unforgettable experience. A special mention to the welcome drinks personally offered by the management—a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the exceptional service to come. I was assigned a dedicated butler, and I can’t praise him enough. He went above and beyond in every way, ensuring I was always comfortable and had everything I needed. Truly outstanding service! The room was absolute perfection—elegant, spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully designed to blend luxury with local charm. Every element, from the linens to the lighting, felt curated for a flawless experience. The surroundings are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen—nature at its most breathtaking. And when night fell, the African sky came alive. There’s something magical about it that made me feel deeply connected and completely at peace—like being home in the most unexpected way. Honestly, this hotel deserves 7 stars, not just 5. Every part of my stay was exceptional: - World-class service - Personalized attention - Luxurious and comfortable rooms - Stunning natural beauty I will definitely be coming back. The most spectacular place I have stayed at during my visit to Zanzibar. Did not realise the room did not have it's private bathroom upon booking, but that was not a problem at all, since this hotel is so convenient, clean and well kept. Local soap bars that were gifted to us was such a pleasant surprise, as well as delicious welcome drinks, incredible breakfast. Could not recommend this place enough, how pleased we were with everything.

The hotel was ideally situated in the heart of Stone town. Check-in was swift with no issues and they also allowed us to check-in early free of charge, which was great as we wanted to freshen up before our walking tour. The room was great, a king size bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. Little kitchenette and a fridge/cooler, also had a balcony that overlooked the pool/bar area which was a wonderful surprise. The cocktails at the bar were the freshest and highest quality I came across during my trip. Would highly recommend the passionfruit mojito.
