What a lovely place and family! Considering the price, we went in with more modest expectations and we booked only for one night. But we immediately regretted not staying longer. Our two-bedroom suite was very comfortable, newly equipped, with best working AC units and internet we've had anywhere in Turkey. And the best part - you can actually see the travertines and the hot air balloons (provided you wake up by 6 am) from one of the bedrooms, which we hadn't expected at all! The city gate to the Pamukkale park is within walking distance. Parking our car under a tree for much needed shade, freshly made breakfast, and lovely, hard working hosts were all a bonus. All in all - great value for the money and much, much recommended!

This ancient city lies on a landscape sculpted by calcium-rich hot springs, overlooking mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and pastel-shaded travertines from a height of 200 metres.     A wonderful, immense collection of roman treasures.

    A wonderful, immense collection of roman treasures. My tip is to take a taxi and enter the South gate, so you can visit the place walking downwards towards your hotel (except the limited climbings you have to do in order to see the fantastic main theater and the grave and church of Saint Philip). This is very important if you go in the hottest months of the year, but useful tip in any season. Furthermore, the southgate is less crowded than the north one.
