Beautiful place with great respect to history and heritage. Enjoyed chats with the owner and his ample knowledge of the region. Location is great, right on the Mekong river bank. Large and clean pool. What others have to pay for - the Mekong sunset - you can have it from the comfort of a quiet terrace on the property! Boat trips are organized directly by the resort, this way you will enjoy a quiet, really cool day-trip on the river.

We have loved our stay at Villa Khoum Xieng Thong. We booked originaly for 5 nights but we had small accident so we had to extend on site for 6 nights for medical purpose. The host has made some magic so that we could stay in the same room for the extended stay. Staff is incredible, so kind and polite. You really feel like being at home. We have been traveling for 5 months in Asia and this is the place we have stayed the longest so far. We will truly remember this place for a long time. Location is perfect, just near Mekong and mains streets but still very calm and safe. Breakfast is very good too, made with love. We have been able to do our laundry there, they also are really helpful with scooter rental and trains/bus tickets. Our room was very confortable, very clean (clean is done on a daily basis by lovely ladies). This is a peaceful place very well maintened and we thank you so much for your hospitality 🙏🙏 highly recommended !!!

Good view from the room upstaire, room is large and clean. The receptionist Souk is friendly and helpful, he booked shuttle to waterfall and railway station for us.

Wat Xieng Thong

One of Luang Prabang’s ‘32 shimmering temples’, this sacred shrine is often hailed as the loveliest in all of Laos. Wat Xieng Thong has been a place of worship since 1559, and Buddhist monks still meditate in its hallowed halls and peaceful gardens today.     I reached the by tuk-tuk. Check-in was swift, with staff explaining local markets and boat tours. My private bathroom gleamed, and the linens smelled freshly laundered. Nice view. Excellent location steps from Wat Xieng Thong.
