Would I come back again? Yes! 1. the breakfast are so good! I wished I had stayed for 1 more night so we could have tried more of the menu. We didn't have our meals at the restaurant other than our cooking class which the hotel helped to arrange. 2. the room is clean and relatively free of mosquitoes and other bugs. I am a mosquito magnet so I am very grateful for this. They did provide an electric mosquito repellent in the room but we didn't use as I brought along my essential oil diffuse (citronella!) for this very purpose. 3. The beds and pillows are comfortable. 4. Location is great! Near to the Sacred Monkey Forest, shops, minimarts, and restaurants. Of the lot, I love a) L'Osteria Pizza e Cucina Ubud (no local food but it's good food and service!) and b) Bebek Bengil Ubud. Lots of spas/ massages places around too, great for after all the walking. 5. The staff. The staff are excellent and friendly.

The staff and facility was very nice. We loved everything about this place. If you decide to book the Villa like we did, it is further down the street. It's the last resort on the street, next to the Monkey forest so keep that in mind. What's nice about booking the Villa is that you still get access to the hotel amenities, like their beautiful pool. We really enjoyed the Villa. It has a modern, yet welcoming design. One morning, we were enjoying breakfast in our room and we were able to see monkeys hop from tree to tree from our Villa. Bisma Eight Villa's made it feel like home.

    A bit touristy with people buying guides/vouchers to pose with monkeys. Cultural show of frog prince is good but too long for us to see entire show. If we knew better, we would show up when play begins and not 30 minutes before.

    Super fun - so many monkeys. But they are cheeky.

    Super fun - so many monkeys. But they are cheeky. DO NOT have anything out in the open like a water bottle or a phone - they will steal it and you will never see it again. The trails and walking around the Monkey forest is awesome. Very well laid out and lots to explore and its super cheap to get in.

    Don't bring any food or drink, if you can, keep all bags at hotel. monkeys there although not aggressive but still attack tourists as locals know how to deal with them. Please leave them alone and never feed them human food.

    The place is amazing, the way animals and locals are connected is incredible, the sunset is awsome. But please, if you want your trip to be easy going, just leave your stuff in your hotel, put contact lenses on, don't bring your sunglasses, hats or jewelry. Buy a phone case that has a strip on it, thank me later hahaha

    This has gone downhill. Little vegetation on the floor. It used to be a lovely forest environment with the monkees going through the tree tops but now it was just a walk through on a boardwalk with monkees on the ground or a few in the trees.

    Amazing, simply amazing.

    Amazing, simply amazing. Piece of advice tho, don’t walk around with any bottles on show, the pesky monkeys will steal it from you. Thankfully it didn’t happen to us but we saw a couple of people get attacked for their water botttles

  • If you go to the Sacred Monkey Forest, don't forget your...

    If you go to the Sacred Monkey Forest, don't forget your insect repellant! Mosquitos even during daytime are present. Don't miss going to the traditional dances at the water palace (close to starbucks) and the Ubud Palace, there is also another location for dance shows, on the Monkey Forest street. People are selling the tickets on the street, different show every day. Great food from the local restaurants, and great location if you want to travel to other places with temples, like lake Beratan for example.

  • I happened to choose this villa which is located in quiet...

    I happened to choose this villa which is located in quiet place, I can let my children run around, It is quite safe. Some of the villas had kitchen which you can cook urself. When bringing children to Monkey Forest make sure your children dont bring angy toys or food along, they monkeys will grab it. In some villas, there are lots of mosquitos.. Make sure you have something prepared for it. Better choose villas with air conditioning, because it is heaty during the night.. Not really comfy for children to sleep

    A must while in Ubud if you like good music is The Laughing Buddha Bar on Monkey Forest Road! Different music each night with brilliant musicians performing music ranging from blues, soul, acoustic, Latin and rock. Also check out the Havana Bar for authentic Cuban food and live music which is off Monkey Forest Road just past the soccer field.
