Excellent new & modern hotel in central part of Athens. From the restaurant at the top if the hotel you can both see the Lycabettes hill and Acropolis in two different directions from the restaurant terrace!! Also one very good thing - there is a free parking included in the price.

I recently stayed at Hotel Electra Athens and had an incredible experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Their warm and welcoming attitude truly stood out. The location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of Athens, with easy access to major attractions, shops, and restaurants. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city. The cuisine was another highlight of my stay. The hotel offers a variety of delicious dishes, blending local Greek flavors with international options. Every meal was a delight, and the rooftop restaurant provided stunning views to complement the dining experience. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was elegant yet cozy, making it an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. Whether relaxing in the beautifully designed common areas or enjoying the comfort of the rooms, I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. I highly recommend Hotel Electra Athens to anyone visiting the city. It offers a perfect combination of friendly service, prime location, excellent food, and a welcoming ambiance.

Perfect location amid the colourful bars and restaurants of Athens' tourist district and narrow streets of Plaka. I was easily able to walk to the Acropolis itself from the hotel. The hotel itself was comfortable and well equipped, attractive room and decent size. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I have had in the European continent. The crowning glory is the breakfast/bar terrace overlooking the Acropolis, a perfect view at any time of day. I was blown away by the hotel. Highly recommended to pay the extra to stay here.

Temple of Olympion Zeus

Fancy living like a bat, if only for one night? Some tours include a night in Kepayang Besar Cave in their itinerary. After a trek through thick jungle, you cool off in a forest river before setting up camp inside the cave and chowing down on a candlelit dinner. It’s kooky, spooky and a whole lot of fun.

One of the more ho-hum sites, especially from a cost of access perspective. Save the admission price (unless you buy a combo ticket) and view it from outside the fence. If there are lines, view it from outside and move on.

Zeus was the most epic of the gods and it makes sense that his temple could fit a village, but the temple is beyond ruins, and is mainly a few blocks of marble on a grassy field. In my opinion, it is still cool, but not the top priority
