Position of the hotel is perfect. Beach is two minutes by walk. The main pedestrian street with all tavernas, caffes and shops is five minutes walk. We parked our car in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is renovated recently and everything is new. Room was very clean with the large terrace, from which we had garden and sea view. Cleaning was done daily, so it was very clean. Beds are very comfy. Wifi was perfect. Hot water all the time. Breakfast is nice and there were everything for everyone. All tastes included. Main thing for coffee lovers - the best coffe in Skala is at the hotel! Lovely ladies Natalia and Katerini are making the best coffee ever! Also, they are very nice and kind, been there for us for everything we needed. So we felt like home. We will come back!

The people from the hotel are absolutely amazing, they are super nice and super helpful, giving us advice about what to see or where to go. They even helped us with a problem we had with our ferry. They are friendly and close to you, it was probably one of the best services I've ever had. The place is beautiful and calm, you can definitely chill a lot there, it's full of cute and friendly cats. The room was better than what we expected, big and comfortable, with all the things you might need (good bed with additional blankets in case you are cold, a fully equipped bathroom, a small terrace, big closet, a vanity, and even a small kitchen, also it has AC). The bar in the hotel is good too, their food tastes good and the prices are okay too!! The swimming pool is clean, as are all the areas in general, we are very happy about our stay there!!!!! Thank you so much! We also had the chance to do laundry.

    Stretching approximately 3 to 5 kilometers, Skala Beach features a mix of golden sand and multi-colored pebbles, set against a backdrop of lush green hills and pine forests.  The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for its clean and pristine waters, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling.  The water is crystal clear but can deepen quickly in certain areas. Some visitors recommend wearing water shoes due to the presence of pebbles near the shoreline. Skala Beach offers a variety of water sports, including jet skiing, banana boat rides, paddle boating, and scuba diving.  The beach is well-equipped with amenities such as sunbeds and umbrellas (typically available for rent), beach bars, washrooms, changing rooms, and a volleyball court.  The beach serves as a departure point for boat tours to nearby islands like Ithaca and Zakynthos, as well as excursions to northern Kefalonia destinations such as Fiskardo.

    Location - right on the best part of Skala beach and just 2 mins walk from the centre. Privacy - well designed studios with private access and set back far enough from the main road and neighbouring properties to be entirely private. Spacious - with most time spent outdoors the grounds, private veranda, pool and beach provide a luxurious and spacious experience.

    Loved that as a solo traveller I had a whole room and bathroom to myself at an island villa for one of the best prices on Kefalonia. Nice little pool and a great view of Skala beach. Huge bed + a single bed was nice and the small fridge was very handy for storing food. Adorable cats made the stay lovely. Extended my stay by 2 nights because it was worth it.

    Makis Hotel is as close to Skála beach as you can get. It’s also easy walking distance to the main town where most of the bars and restaurants are. The triple room with a sea view was a sufficient size for a family of three but there wasn’t a lot of space for storage of clothes and suitcases etc. The pool area was nice with a bar and plenty of sun loungers.

    Very happy with our accommodation! The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The size of the apartment was decent. The people working there were very friendly and extremely helpful! The location was excellent, ideal for families. Very close to Skala beach with lots of restaurants and shops .

    This hotel has a beautiful view on Skala and the place is quite.You need a car if you want explore an island .There is a bus transfer every hour to Skala beach. Another connection with the other places is really bad in the high season with high temperatures. The staff is very kind and polite.

    Excellent quiet location with high quality rooms, and nice dinners served at reasonable price. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. If you have a car, definitely check out Skala beach, it is 5 minutes drive from the hotel but is much better than the local one, with inexpensive umbrellas and varied places to have lunch.

    This hotel is a little gem. It is located close to the lovely Skala beach and it’s pretty little town. The hotel is exceptionally clean - not even a stray leaf blowing around! The pool is lovely and the pool bar makes delicious snacks - and cocktails. There’s a lot to love about this hotel - we really enjoyed it
