There 2 ways into the sights.
There 2 ways into the sights. You can walk from AGORA sight by the side path but it a very big climb of u over 65. The other entrance which buses tour use is at he side of Acroplis museum about 10 minutes walk from the Acroplis metro and it onky a short walk from there.Guest review byMauraIreland - 8.0
Coming early is key.
Coming early is key. I visited in March (winter season) and by 10 am, there was already a crowd inside of the Acropolis, at the only path to the Parthenon. Fortunately the crowd was not large, but I'd say it was a bit large for this time of the year. As for the toilets, they are outside of the sight, and once you leave the sight, there's no re-entering it with the same ticket. A lot of restaurants, bars, coffee shops within walking distance, very close to Acropolis as well. The apartment was clean, bed comforable, defienietely enough space for 2 people. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans.
