We’ve enjoyed absolutely everything about this hotel. It is absolutely stunningly designed, lots of marble with modern elements while incorporating the antique ruins the hotel stands on and that you can view through glass. The staff is going the extra mile for everything, everyone is friendly and helpful, we got amazing restaurant recommendations from our receptionist Dimitra, and the service at breakfast and in the rooftop bar is exceptional and fast. We absolutely loved the view of Acropolis from the beautifully designed rooftop terrace that is also used for breakfast. Breakfast itself was delicious with so much variance from Greek specialty breads and cakes to yoghurt, eggs, fresh fruit etc etc, it was the perfect start to the day. We also loved the location since you can just walk to the major sites in a few mins while being a bit out of the major tourist area in terms of noise and mess of people. We found great food within walking distance, beautiful orange trees everywhere and felt very safe. The rooms and hotel itself were exceptionally clean and well organized, the room was lovely, the beds super comfortable, and we loved the bath products and ordered them from the shop to use at home. We truly couldn’t be any happier with our experience with the niche hotel and are recommending to anyone ever going to Athens ☀️

Acropolis

Long before it became known as Bloomfield Falls, this magnificent waterfall was called Wujal Wujal by the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people. Hire a guide and learn why these people still consider Wujal Wujal to be sacred. Or just head down with your 4x4 and a picnic hamper, and have lunch in serious style!

Very expensive for something that takes 5 mins to look around. Beautiful ancient building but a bit disappointed by the lack of the usual museum things: expositions, artefacts, hey even some shelter from the sun would be great.

    Coming early is key.

Coming early is key. I visited in March (winter season) and by 10 am, there was already a crowd inside of the Acropolis, at the only path to the Parthenon. Fortunately the crowd was not large, but I'd say it was a bit large for this time of the year. As for the toilets, they are outside of the sight, and once you leave the sight, there's no re-entering it with the same ticket. So make sure to go to the toilet before entering the sight.

This is a budget option to stay at the centre of Athens, very close to the Acropolis Museum and surrounding area. The facilities are basic but clean and reasonably well maintained. We would only get back to shower and sleep and the small apartment was more than adequate for that.

Great apartment in a great neighbourhood. Psiri is the trendy hotspot of Athens, with dozens of eating, drinking and shopping spots just minutes from the front door. The apartment was clean and we appreciated the surprise welcome pack plus the excellent communication from Dimitris. Amazing view of the Acropolis from the balcony. Would happily stay here again.

Really impressed with the apartment. The view of the Acropolis was simply stunning! The hot tub was fantastic, super clean and the perfect place to relax after walking around Athens. Also the amount of breakfast items etc left for us was great. Location was amazing and super quiet despite being so central.

We stayed here for one night and overall had a good experience. The apartment’s location is truly fantastic – just steps from Dionysiou Areopagitou, the beautiful pedestrian street that links the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and Syntagma Square. It’s a perfect base for exploring Athens on foot.

The location is great, metro station is literally downstairs, not even 1 minute walk. A lot of restaurants, bars, coffee shops within walking distance, very close to Acropolis as well. The apartment was clean, bed comforable, defienietely enough space for 2 people. The building has an elevator which makes it even more comfortable. The host was very helpful, accommodated our needs! Recommended if you want to be in the heart of Athens with it's lively upbeat atmosphere just around the corner. :)

There were some exceptional features relating to this hotel. - The breakfasts on the top floor were the finest we have ever had in a hotel. The choice and quality of the food was amazing. - The help and advice from front office staff was first grade - from booking taxis to suggesting places to visit, with maps supplied. - The view from the top floor breakfast balcony is outstanding. Best view of the Acropolis in Athens.

Go beyond the Acropolis and explore the Agora and Kerameikos, imagining yourself entering Athens along the road from the port of Piraeus, and following the Panathenaic Way to the Akropolis. Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

  • Consider visiting Athens in May or September.

Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
