All staff were delightful - very welcoming, helpful and efficient. Beautiful, grand building and great location at the foot of Corfe Castle. We enjoyed inventive fine dining in the restaurant (at fine dining prices, of course) both evenings...flavours and presentation were superb. Our room and en suite bathroom were impeccably clean with none of the shabbiness that is often a feature of older hotels.

Great value for money! The room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable. The bath was too tempting not to use. I did not eat in the restaurant but had a drink in the bar. The bar area was buzzing and characterful, plenty of seating. The entrance to the hotel was very clean and welcoming. The staff were all very smart, polite, personable and accommodating. I couldn’t fault it.

Sandbanks

The water of Sandbanks Beach is shallow and perfect for paddling! Parents can feel comfortable in the knowledge that lifeguards patrol here the entire summer. Up on the promenade you’ll find a crazy golf course, children’s amusements and a selection of shops and cafés. You’re also able to hire out a beach hut and make use of well-maintained shower facilities.

Very beautiful unfortunately I didn't go sightseeing this time as I was playing Chess for a week.I have been to Poole before and thought it was great. Good place to go for a holiday as many places to visit but the Holiday Season is the best time to visit.

The hotel is in a brilliant position overlooking Sandbanks and the bay. Within an easy walk to the beach. The room with the balcony was definitely worth the extra money. The room was clean and comfortable and very well looked after by the house keeping staff. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. There was a good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast and the restaurant has fantastic views. The staff were all very helpful and attentive and we found Catalina particularly friendly and very helpful. We would love to return.

I really liked the location of the place. It was easy to get to the railway station, and I enjoyed a walk to the Quay. The bus station to Sandbanks was also within walking distance. The room was spacious for one person, and I had an excellent night's sleep on a comfortable bed.

Everything. The apartment was so modern and felt brand new. It had all cleaning facilities too. Smart tvs and even an Xbox for the kids! The kitchen was amazing. Lots or utensils and everything you needed. Breakfast on the balcony with the sun shining was an added bonus! It is really close to supermarkets and under 10 min drive to Poole Harbour. Sandbanks beach is also only 10 mins away in the car. We did not want to leave. Quay Lettings are super helpful too. We will use them again 💯

What guests said about Sandbanks:

  • being one of the largest natural harbours in the world,...

being one of the largest natural harbours in the world, Poole offers varied habitats for migrating birds and its waters shelter a wide range of fish and other sea creatures. Sandbanks and Studland bay mark the beginning of the Jurassic coastline heading west with its varied geology and flora and fauna. The coast walks are a delight with something to see round every corner as well as the wonder of the panoramic views from the high ridges.
