Cirque du soleil corteo was extremely disappointing.

Cirque du soleil corteo was extremely disappointing. On top of that the Seating and view were a disgrace. Only half the stage was in view. Even at a lower price range The Albert Hall should not sell such seats. Over all would have preferred to give the whole experience a miss and gone somewhere else.

I've never thought about going to The Royal Albert Hall...

I've never thought about going to The Royal Albert Hall before, until Clannad was there. And it turned out that this was Clannad's last live performance! So I'm glad I went. Before you see a show or live performance there's the opportunity to visit one of the restaurants or bars in the Royal Albert Hall, which is highly recommended as part of your Royal Albert Hall experience. I'm looking forward to going back one day.

Loved it. My very first visit in 75 years for a concert !! Allow plenty of time inside to tour round and appreciate the structure. Didn't think prices for food and drink too outrageous. Pre book your choice of restaurant though ! Staff friendly and helpful.

The Royal Albert Hall is emblematic of civic culture.

The Royal Albert Hall is emblematic of civic culture. A gathering place for spirits, minds and bodies, it hosts a wide range of cultural and social events, having served as backdrop for important historical events as well, and even a tennis match. It's yearly highlight is the BBC Proms, which showcase the best and the new of symphonic music.

Please note - because it isn't made obvious on their booking site - that children under 14 are not allowed to sit individually. I had been issued with one 'separate' ticket for a Prom - bought directly on their site - but we were swiftly re-seated together, when they realised the problem and were very apologetic. Relaxed performances are an excellent way to introduce youngsters to a wide range of music, and to allow for them to get enthusiastic.

What guests said about Royal Albert Hall:

  • Classical music or anything.

Classical music or anything. Besides majestic Royal Albert Hall (in July-Sept there are The Proms) and many other venues, St Martin in the Fields church has many events, some free.
