Our room was recently renovated to a high standard and was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with freshly prepared cooked options in addition to the buffet. The grounds are immaculate with lovely walks some leading down to Furness Abbey. The hotel is well placed for visiting the Lake District and the surrounding areas.

Beautifully positioned a short walk from Furness Abbey. A lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and the restaurant excellent for dinner and breakfast. Its clearly a popular event destination and the public rooms were busy while we stayed but the bedroom was very quiet.

Room - Contempo Suite - Great Size and cool set up with the bed in the middle of a turret style shape with windows offering panoramic views. Very comfy bed too... but that was about it. Sorry to say. Location was great, just a 5 to 10 minute walk with a few steepish paths to the ruins of Furness Abbey, stunning. Gardens Stunning at Hotel and lovely places to sit outside. Modern decor, comfortable and clean. Dinner in Oscars was lovely. Absolutely must visit Furness Abbey which is not even 5 minutes walk away, it’s beautiful and a nice space for a walk around - I reckon the hotel should set up a cheeky entrance discount?

Nice QUIET Hotel on the road out of Barrow in Furness a mile or so from the town centre. Free parking in large carpark. Nice large room and bathroom (we were offered a FREE room upgrade which a lovely surprise). Handy for the Furness Peninsula and Lake District National Park. A short walk from the Furness Abbey ancient monument.

Superb architecture of the original part of the hotel and the immediate proximity to English Heritage Furness Abbey via the hotel grounds. The beds are possibly the best yet for sleep comfort.

The hotel is beautiful on the outside. The grounds are well kept, clean and tidy. Inside has changed alot over the yrs.. not too my liking too modern for such a beautiful old building. However still very nice, clean and staff are polite and helpful. The Added bonus was Furness Abbey. Just at the bottom of the hotel grounds. You have to pay to go in the grounds of the Abbey but you can still get great views and pictures of it walking rd the outside of the Abbey.
