the location is really excellent! close to everything, but in a secluded feeling courtyard. The windows were very well soundproofed- I could open them to hear music, church bells, and the bustle of the street below, but closing them completely blocked out sound. The beds were comfortable. The room had a few quirks that are normal with old buildings, which made it even more charming. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Katherine at the front desk.

Old Town Square

This expanse of well-trodden cobbles has been the heart of Prague for centuries. With Christmas Markets in the winter and street bands in the summer, the square is alive with tourists and locals bustling to and fro. Watching over the scenes below are the Old Town Hall tower, the spires of the imposing Týn Church, and the surrounding patchwork of colourful facades.

Where many beautiful historic buildings are.

Where many beautiful historic buildings are. It’s lively and entertaining. The Astronomical Clock is beautiful as well as the Church Lady before Tyn. Restaurants on square are good but much pricier due to the location.. a drink definitely worth it to take in the views.

Old Town in general is very commercialized.

Old Town in general is very commercialized. Plenty of U.S. chains throughout the area--MacDonalds, KFC, Starbucks etc. Very crowded. Restaurants in this area are not a good deal due to it being geared to tourists. To get an idea of the real Prague where locals hang out, definitely do not expect it in this area. Cross the river into the Mala Strana, and you suddenly see why people actually like Prague so much.

The Old Town Square is fascinating.

The Old Town Square is fascinating. We stayed at The Cube - about 300-500 metres from the square, we stayed 5 days and I could go back for another month and still not see everything. Prague is the most fantastic city. I loved it. So much to see. The food is delicious. People are friendly and fantastic. I walked about 15 km a day, and it felt like nothing. Book some tours with local guides.

Do your research about the buildings & sights around the old town and the square. The astronomical clock is a must, get there about 5 minutes before turn of the hour. We got there at 12pm and the sounds of the bells ringing at the church across the square made for a great video as the 12 apostles come out and move around the clock.

This was one of my favorite places on earth, now absolutely flooded with shallow-minded tourists moving like robots from one selfie spot to another. Avoid high season and high time. At night, avoid it because of the roving bands of drunk guys in their twenties who think Prague is one big beer hall. I adore this cultured city. The tourists are wrecking the experience. Come off season and at inconvenient times like early morning to see what we all loved about it. But if history and architecture and sobriety mean nothing to you, please stay away.

While it's an amazing a lively place, avoid eating directly in the middle of it. It's a tourist trap, you'll be pushed to leave a tip, or even worse, have it on the bill as "service fee".

The location is perfect! Prague Old Town Square is literally at your doorstep but the apartment is still very quiet. We felt very safe as well because all the gates to the apartment are locked & accessible only to the occupants of the apartment. I hope when we decide to visit Prague again, this apartment will still be available for us to rent again.

We stayed at the Paris Hotel in Prague and honestly loved it! The building itself is gorgeous with its Art Nouveau style — it feels like stepping back in time but with all the modern facilities. Our room was cozy, super clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were really kind and welcoming. The location is perfect — just a few minutes’ walk to Old Town Square and lots of great spots nearby. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Prague!

Our stay was excellent! The hotel is located right in the heart of the Old Town Square, making most tourist attractions easily accessible on foot. We were pleasantly surprised to find some good Indian restaurants nearby as well. And not to forget—the breakfast served here is absolutely wonderful!

I stayed here with my Mum for a couple of nights in August 2025. Everything was wonderful from start to finish, the apartment had everything we needed, very comfortable and clean, fantastic location near the Old Town Square yet very quiet, I would highly recommend staying here. Massive ceilings and windows. Layout of the apartment was a bit quirky, but to be clear this is certainly not a criticism - we couldn't fault this brilliant place overall. Thank-you for having us.

This hotel is a great location, about 12 minute walk from the Old Town Square. It also has good public transport connections of a tram and bus. Very comfortable hotel room with comfy beds and pillows. The room was a great size, as was the bed. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice each morning.

Good location, easy to walk to Old Town Square as well as very accessible to public transport options. The apartment was large and clean with comfortable beds. The washing machine was a massive bonus while travelling with only a backpack! We were also able to leave our bags at the Hotel Vetana for as long as we needed after checking out, this was very helpful for our midnight coach trip! The staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful

The location is excellent. A couple of minutes from the metro, 10 minutes's walk max from Old Town Square, about 5 minutes' walk from Charles Bridge one way or the Jewish Quarter another. A tram stop right outside the hotel. The hotel itself was great - really comfortable room and very friendly service. The €15 buffet breakfast is good, but if you want something smaller, there are good cafés nearby. No bar or restaurant in the hotel, but there are so many close by that you don't need one.
