I have stayed at Der Wilhelmshof many times since 2000 when I first came to Vienna in connection with the Willem C Vis International Moot, so it is a bit of a home away from home for me. The renovations carried out in that time have improved the ambience of the hotel. I like the art work themes. Usually I will have to keep in touch with Sydney for work reasons while I am in Vienna and the Wi-Fi connections and desk space in the larger and mid-size rooms are very helpful in that regard.

Staff, breakfast, cleanliness, central location with the subway at the front door, atmosphere and hotel theme of everyfloor and every room, room size, the drinks and candy available at the reception, the warm welcome everytime you get in the hotel or you get out of the elevator. I travelled with two children and we had the most wonderful stay. The hotel truly corresponds to the famous “Vienna spirit” - it’s a living history that meets all the modern conditions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is very close to all the central locations but stands on a quiet street. Highly recommend and would love to go back one day.
