The entire island is exceptional, the workers work so hard around the clock to keep the flowers and tree hydrated, ensuring it is tidy and looks like something off of a postcard! It was simply paradise! The overeater bungalow was insane! It was massive and it was lovely to have our own space to unwind and relax with our private pool. The staff, from the buggy carts to reception were outstanding! Forever bending over backwards to ensure our stay was outstanding! The cleaner, whom came twice a day to our bungalow made us a beautiful welcome package for our honeymoon it really made our day! Special shout outs to Maujood, Soban and Aalif in the restaurant! They looked after us so well each evening making sure we were stocked with drinks and ice cream, from showing us new foods to try! (Which were amazing!) And giving us fish food to feed the fish and sharks! Maujood made us a table art on our final night, it made me emotional as did not want to leave! Elton in the bar, he was amazing when my partner was sunburnt (giving us yoghurt to smother him in) it worked a treat! Nothing was ever too much or a chore for all the restaurant and bar staff, we felt like royalty. The watersports and diving team were great! We went on the whale shark tour and talk, ilga made sure we were to meet the whale shark by allowing us an extra half hour... Where we then swam with it three times! It was exceptional! The watersports team were great at teaching and guiding us to paddle board and kayak! We went snorkelling (which the resort supply for free!) and all the staff shown us which areas were best. The island has Soo much to offer with the coral reefs and wildlife, we seen a range of fish, swam with black tip sharks, seen nurse sharks... The list could go on! Food was amazing, never struggled for anything to eat! Everything was Soo tasty and fresh. So unless you are extremely fussy (a chicken nugget and chips type person!) you won't ever go hungry.

Abbiamo appena lasciato questo resort e già ci manca. Ci è sembrato di essere in Paradiso e siamo stati trattati da re da quando abbiamo messo piede all’aeroporto di Male fino a quando siamo stati riaccompagnati per la partenza. Anzi, ogni quesito, dubbio e richiesta che abbiamo presentato già da casa è stata accolta e soddisfatta con grande cortesia e professionalità. Lo staff è attento a ogni minimo dettaglio e ci ha riservato attenzioni e coccole tali da farci sentire i protagonisti dell’isola. Menzione speciale per i ragazzi del Coral Bar e del Reef, sempre sorridenti e disponibili. In particolare, da italiani abbiamo apprezzato la qualità del servizio e del cibo del ristorante italiano Mare Azzurro. A garanzia di tutto il navigato Chef italiano Giuseppe, che ci ha letteralmente viziato con le sue premure e ci ha fatti sentire a casa. Per non parlare del suo buon gusto e della raffinatezza nella preparazione del buffet (spesso organizzato seguendo tematiche particolari; spettacolare la serata araba con pita artigianale e kebab di prima scelta). La sistemazione, la pulizia, la spiaggia, il mare, le numerose attività e proposte tra escursioni, immersioni e sport acquatici seguiti da veri professionisti del settore non meritano una votazione inferiore al 10. Prima di partire dall’Italia pensavamo a un viaggio che si fa una volta nella vita, ma adesso torniamo a casa convinti che un giorno faremo ritorno al Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa. A presto!

Very friendly staff (the best staff crew we ever had). It felt like being at home and not at a hotel. The tour guide Ayya really loves his job and he is breathing to organize excursions that leave the people speechless. Whalesharks, dolphins, turtles, snorkeling and finish. We did it all The food was really good. The Maledivian breakfast is amazing and the Lobster was delicious!

Our overwater villa was luxurious, private, and surrounded by the most breathtaking turquoise waters we’ve ever seen. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and celebrated. We loved the thoughtful sweet surprises in our villa. Dining at Ithaa, the underwater restaurant was once in a lifetime experience—surrounded by sharks and vibrant marine life was absolutely surreal. The ambiance, the service, the cuisine was all unforgettable. It is a perfect place for any celebration. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and so grateful for the memories.
