200 metres from Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, 民宿 和合 Minshuku WAGO is a recently renovated property set in Tanabe and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Very convenient stop along the Kumano-Kodo route. We brought our own food for dinner and the host set up a nice table outside for us. Everything was very clean and the host is really nice.

39 km from Kishi Station in Koyasan, 高野山 宿坊 光明院 -Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin- provides accommodation with access to a hot tub. It is situated 45 km from Matsushita Park and offers luggage storage space. Great location, just a few minutes’ walk from the start of the atmospheric path to Okunoin Temple. Food was excellent and the Buddhist monks who run the place take good care of you. The meditation sessions, and especially the fire ritual, are memorable. Fantastic value overall.

Wonderful people and stay! Food was amazing! Bed was comfortable, there is a heater to make it comfortable for you. They took the time to show us a great spot for cherry blossom viewing! I definitely stay again, maybe even a night more to enjoy the beautiful countryside.

高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- on ajalooline tempel ja külalistele sobiv majutus. Hotell asub pühas Koya mäe piirkonnas. Everything was perfect, from the typical meals to the room, including the guided tour of the cemetry at night. It was a great experience. The Monk from Sweden was super kind and knowledgeable.
