This hotel is located within a reserve with hiking trails and gardens where you can see hummingbirds and many other species. The guided hikes were also excellent. The rooms were comfortable. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced.

This luxurious hotel is located in San Jose City Centre and features an on-site gourmet restaurant, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Hotel Grano de Oro also offers massage services and a rooftop garden. very uniquely designed and very tastefully too. So much greenery inside the hotel which is beautiful. Breakfast was impeccable but didn’t get to try lunch or dinner due to short stay.

Set in a residential area, next to Costa Rica Country Club, Apartotel & Suites Villas del Rio features 2 outdoor pools, a hot tub and gym. A free airport shuttle service is offered. We stayed at Apart Hotel Villas del Río and really enjoyed it. The apartments are spacious, airy, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and fresh options. What really stood out was the staff — everyone was super friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re staying in San José!
