Everything was perfect Staff: We were greeted by very friendly staff who was fluent in English. She went the extra mile by cooridinating with the Mondsee tourist information centre to get our Salzkammergut card. She helped us check-in even though we were a few hours early. Because we were early, she wasn't able to show us the hotel and its facilities, but they do offer that when you arrive, a great personal touch not many hotels do. We actually returned to the hotel much later in the evening and we didn't want to bother the staff, who we think was a waiter from the restaurant. The staff that waited during breakfast were fantastic as well. Room/Facilities: With only 8 rooms (5 in the "floor" we're on), it felt very exclusive. Everything still feels very new. The only noise you'll hear from your room is the water on the lake. The room was massive and the bed is similar (if not actually) to a king size bed. The pool and sauna was very nice after a long day of sight seeing. You are able to get into the lake from the sauna facility (you will have to navigate through some stairs). They also have nuts, candy and flavoured water in the hall for you to take throughout the day, great little detail. The breakfast was...wow...the spread was insane. Cold cuts, salmon, all sorts of bread, cake, pastry, yogurt and cereal that you can customize yourself, eggs/bacon/ham/omelette freshly made at your request. Cannot stress how amazing the breakfast was... Ambiance/Vibe: The view of the lake as you enter the hotel was stunning, especially when it's sunny. There is a very chilled and relaxed vibe with this hotel and their restaurant. It didnt feel like it's just a place for you to crash after a long day of sight-seeing. The other thing we very much enjoyed was the fact that most patrons of the hotel and restaurant were german speaking. We felt out of place, in a good way.

Offering an infinity pool with a sunbathing lawn, a spa area, a restaurant, and a terrace with panoramic views of Lake Attersee and the mountains, Hotel Irmgard is located in Strass im Attergau, 5 km... This property made it hard to leave Attersee. I adored the staff as well as the property. The parking is free, located in the front of the property. The bikes available for borrowing were a nice addition, too. If you prefer E-bikes, I would recommend renting them in the village. The breakfast was amazing, and I enjoyed having an assigned seat, I recommend the dinner, there is no need to go anywhere, as the staff provide a 4-course meal and one night, the Austrian buffet was great after hiking 30km. The property is kind to dogs, and there's a great walking path nearby. The room was spacious, with a spa shower and a beautiful terrace, overlooking the forest behind. I will forever adore the Attersee.

The apartments are located in a beautiful, quiet area on a farm with horses, ponies and rabbits. our children really enjoyed feeding the animals. It is right next to a hiking trail that leads up into the mountains. Tauplitz ski area is a 10 minute drive. The apartments are spacious and very clean. There is a small spa with saunas and jacuzzi available for guests. The owners are very nice people. Always helpful.

We came to Austria for skiing and had a great experience in de Leopoldhof hotel. Beautiful spa, very comfortable apartment, nice staff and great service. Hotel is located in beautiful nature next to the lake. I could imagine it’s also very nice during summer.

This 4-star hotel in the heart of Bad Ischl is directly connected to the Salzkammerguttherme Thermal Spa. Each room has a balcony overlooking the town. Tutto perfetto. This family-run 4-star hotel only 30 km from the centre of Salzburg. It offers rooms with balcony and a spa area. Breakfast was really good. They make great omelets to order. Location was out of this world. I was recommended to take a hike the next morning and we walked to a lake and a snow cave with a beautiful waterfall. We could have continued to hike for days in the area.

Set amidst the impressive landscape of the Salzkammergut in Styria, this 4-star superior hotel offers a unique location on a plateau above Bad Aussee and beautiful panoramic views of the Dachstein. Great location. Very comfortable for hiking or biking in the region. Rooms are not air-conditioned in today’s climate change this might be a problem.
