Martin Luxury Hotel was hands down the best stay of our entire trip to Albania! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The owner was absolutely amazing—friendly, outgoing, and incredibly thoughtful. He personally picked us up from the bus stop without us even asking, and gave us the best room available. Our room had two balconies, with the main one facing the road and offering a direct view of the stunning Gjirokastër Castle. The architecture of the hotel was top-notch—elegant design with beautiful rooms and 5-star facilities. On arrival, we were treated to complimentary drinks, including a special local Gjirokastër drink, which was such a nice touch. What really stood out was the owner’s genuine care—he even came late at night just to bring us water when he thought we might not have any. That level of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. Truly a perfect stay. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gjirokastër!

Really clean room, great location, delicious breakfast with what seemed to be authentic, locally-sourced food, very friendly and helpful staff! La famiglia che ci ha accolto é stata a mani basse la migliore che ci ha accolto in questo viaggio in Albania, abbiamo soggiornato per 3 notti di cui una siamo riusciti a farci cambiare stanza per ammirare la vista che c’era in quella che per noi era la migliore. Le camere hanno tutte un concept e un idea diversa all’apparenza sembreranno simili ma una volta entrati capirete a pieno l’idea del host.

The hosts, Jona, Thoma and her mom are super! Their friendliness was the highlight of our 3 weeks balkan holiday. Gjirokaster was super hilly. Driving with car was challenging but she sent us a video beforehand so that we could anticipate it. Thank you so much!

Of course you need a car to feel it’s comfortable. Then the location is perfect, just a couple kms from Gjirokaster. The rooms are very interesting, i loved that. Great views from the balcony and from the common areas outside the room. Breakfast was great, very good to start the day. Staff was kind and helpful. WiFi was great.
