I’m Niles—founder, owner, and self-appointed Chief Elephant Wrangler at Urban Elephant. Originally from the UK (where the weather builds character), I moved to Cape Town in 2007. After travelling the world, I knew I’d found something special in the Mother City—and decided to build something a little different in hospitality. Urban Elephant was born as a hybrid of Airbnb and a top hotel—minus the stiff service and tiny soaps. We offer designer apartments with hotel-style perks, where guests feel like VIPs (or at least very well-looked-after humans). Hospitality is my passion. Our showstopper on the 27th floor at 16 on Bree—private terrace, poolside patio doors, and rooftop bar access. It’s the kind of place you book for two nights and wish you never had to leave.
