It was and is the offspring of a husband and wife, Josh and Erin Cave, who left their lives in the New York City artworld behind and needed not only a home but a home for their hopes and ideas. Purchasing this old bed and breakfast gave them a shared objective. Erin had long dreamt of a place where she could exercise her affections for hospitality, food, and gardening. As for Josh, he just has a lot of energy and needs a lot to do. So it turns out, the restoration of a 1700s farmhouse is just about enough to keep him occupied. They share a conviction for creating environments that exude beauty and tranquility, leaning into natural materials and blended aesthetics, while maintaining high standards of excellence that extend beyond the visual into the functional and physically experiential. They desire for Eileen to exceed your expectations of what a bed and breakfast can be.

Built in the 1700s, our home has taken many forms - a farm, a performance space, a bed & breakfast. It has been a labor of love to restore - and make it a place, once again, for hospitality. The space includes a cozy living room with a fireplace, sunny dining room with a French provincial table, elegant bedroom, and contemporary bathroom with a Moroccan-style shower. Inspired by the rural Mediterranean coast, the rooms sparkle with unique detail and are complete with contemporary art.

We are in the village of Mystic yet on the outskirts of downtown’s hustle and bustle and into the quiet neighborhoods nearby. Just over a mile from Main Street, we are a short drive or a pleasant stroll to all the activity of the town’s center.
