The school house was the Mangapiko school and was built in the 1800's we have pictures of the children and teachers from that era which are displayed on the walls. It is set up its own driveway and overlooks the lawn from the bedroom window and open country side from the front. We have a large parking area which could accommodate boats, trailers etc. In the garden there are stick insects, lizards and an abundance of bird life.
Hi my name is Sue and myself and my husband own The school house we have renovated it over the last 18mths and are looking forward to welcoming guests to share its history. We have 2 dogs 5 ducks, 3 cats and some fish. And on top of that we have 2 children.
We are a pleasant 20 minute drive from the boutique town of Cambridge ,with the Karapiro Lake rowing events and the Aventidrome cycle track. We are just off the main road that leads to Waitomo Glow worm caves. We are 5 minutes from the town of Te Awamutu with its Regent cinema to take you back in time. There is a golf club 2km away, and the airport is 20 minuets away. We are near the field days at the Mystery Creek event centre.
