At the top of the valley with stunning views out over the ocean is the yurt at Petal Creek Farm. The yurt is a romantic dream like no other.
Warm, comfortable and fully insulated where you can relax in peace and forget the stress of the outside world. A fireplace provides wonderful ambiance and keeps you warm on cool nights.
Private outdoor shower & bath surrounded by native trees with plenty of hot water and a flushing toilet. Sun loungers are set up on your own little beach where you can enjoy the sunset with your favorite beverage, a truly magical experience.

An amazing fully equipped kitchen set up to enjoy and save you dollars instead of eating out. There is a gas hob, small oven and outside BBQ. We provide espresso coffee pods, milk frother, blender, milk, oil, vinegars, spices and fresh herbs in the garden.
There is a dining table in the yurt and one outside on the deck for al fresco dining.
There is a picnic basket, blanket & beach towels for you to enjoy a relaxing picnic down on the beautiful golden sands of Ligar Bay.
Close to Pohara, which has a selection of cafe's, restaurants & mini store are 5 minutes away if you do not feel like cooking or need a few basic extras. Takaka town being just 15 minutes away.

I am a chef and Kylie is a contemporary jeweler. We both love to be outdoors in our garden. We regulary go on walks around the bay and love cooking wonderful meals together. I play bass guitar and Kylie loves to take photo's. I have traveled extensively overseas and I really enjoy meeting new people and talking about the world.
Set at the top of a small valley is the yurt. It has it's own private driveway and is that the bottom of my property. It is very peaceful with lots of bird life. There is a small stream and the view from the deck is over Ligar Bay. It is 1 kilometer to the golden sand beach, a 15 minute drive to the town of Takaka and 5 minutes to Pohara which has restaurants and a mini store. Also very close to the entrance of the Abel Tasman Nation Park. There is lots of great day hiking, beaches and natural beauty around.
