Heron House is a carbon neutral house, importing zero fossil fuels. Geo thermal heating ensures a constant 18-20 degrees, regardless of weather. Set on 2.7 acres of wild garden, this is a peaceful, tranquil place. If holidaying with zero carbon footprint interests you.. Heron House is for you. With Lough Derg ( one of Europes most beautiful lakes) a few minutes away, you have 30km of wonderful lake to explore, with so many activities, cafe’s and restaurants.
Although it’s a shared home, my wife and I live on a separate floor from guests, creating a small hotel feeling. We are available to meet and advise guests, we respect that some guests prefer self- checkin and checkout, so you can say Hello, have a chat, pick our brains or just slip in and out quietly.
The house is in a quiet rural setting but only 10 minutes from Nenagh and Limerick and only 5 minutes from the beautiful village of Killaloe on lough Derg. There are too many activities and walks to mention but Lough Derg is a “Must See” for anyone visiting Ireland.
