The Stables at Ballygraffan is a very unique place. It has been described by guests as an 'oasis of calm'. We try very hard to create a sense of warmth and homeliness with many home cooked items in the breakfast basket which is provided inclusive to the rate charged. The property is registered as 'guest accommodation' by the tourist board so you do not have to consider breakfast provisions and yet have the added benefit of some self catering facilities in the kitchenette area.
Robena (the host) puts a great deal of thought and care into the accommodation and its provision. The decor is comfortable and homely. Breakfast provisions are largely home produced with a speciality of buttermilk pancakes as part of the breakfast basket along with a few home baked treats e.g. granola, biscuits or traybakes.
The Stables at Ballygraffan are in the Ards Peninsula, the Strangford Locale, Area of Natural Beauty. Guests can sit on the deck at the back of their property and have a full view of Strangford Lough directly in front of them. There are plenty of walks and places of historical interest to visit in the area, neolithic sites and 18th century estates.
