Beautiful Traditional Devon Farmhouse set within 480 acres of our own rolling countryside within the Tamar Valley AONB. The annex is a self contained wing at one end of our rambling, wisteria covered 'shabby chic' property and a short walk across the terrace to the hot tub. A working farm and historic estate. Within easy reach of stunning Cornish beaches and Dartmoor, yet close to Plymouth City. The National Trust properties Buckland Abbey, Cothele and Saltram House are all under 10 miles away.
I have lived and farmed at Warleigh Barton for 25 years. Gradually diversifying the core business here which is growing crops alongside some beef cattle and a few sheep. I have two children in their twenties who come and go. I try to ride my two horses whenever I can and get out on the estuary in the boat in good weather. I have 3 dogs and usually a few guest dogs staying with the occasional litter of puppies! I will greet you when you arrive, and will be around, coming and going a lot of the time, but you will have privacy and autonomy in the annex.
This is a working farm situated in beautiful countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the Tamar Valley and yet just a few minutes drive from the bustling city of Plymouth. We are situated next to the Tavy Estauary and our nearest village is Tamerton Foliot which is 1.5 miles away. There are stunning views over the estuary from one side of the farm and fantastic walks for you to explore across the farm. (Please enquire.) There is a bus to to Plymouth from Tamerton Foliot. We are 15 minutes from Plymouth city centre by car. Less than 10 minutes from Derriford Hospital. The local village (10 - 15 mins walk) is Tamerton Foliot. A38 Devon link road is only 10 mins away and getting to Cornwall is an easy drive. Beautiful Whitsand bay is 40 mins via the Torpoint ferry. Fowey and the Eden Project is an hour away and a day trip to any of the Cornish beaches is a fun activity. Dartmoor national park is very close by and you can drive to Princetown within 20 minutes. The National Trust properties Buckland Abbey, Cothele and Saltram House are all under 10 miles away.
