Whether holidaying with friends, as couples or with the whole family, relax at this peaceful self catering property on the beautiful Sleat Peninsula, also known as the "Garden of Skye". Offering spacious rooms, and a welcome hamper (milk, water, biscuits, crisps and eggs) , you're assured a great break. Special occasions planned for (fees apply; Anniversaries, Birthdays, etc), message with your requirements. Make sure to allow plenty of time to explore this magical island. **PLEASE NOTE THAT PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED**
I generally try to be around for your check-in experience but If I'm out, I will leave my phone number for you. You have your own entrance and there is a key safe, the code for which I'll send before you check in. I live next door and will look forward to meeting you at some point.
Ord is a delightful and peaceful location on the Sleat Peninsula on the south of Skye. We are located 4 miles from a main road down a single track lane with numerous passing places. We have amazing views of the Cuillin mountain range and are just meters from Loch Eishort where you can paddle/wild swim. South Sea Kayaks run trips from this beach (booking required). There are many things to explore on the South of Skye such as the Point of Sleat, Torabhaig Distillery, Armadale Castle, Irishmans Point, Caisteal Chamuis, Spa Caves, Isle Ornsay Lighthouse, Dunscaith Castle, Leitir Fura and Kinloch forest, Boreraig village ruins and the lovely Cnoc trail. Just over the Skye bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh is a lovely walk to Caisteal Maol. Most of the major attractions of the North are within about an hour to an hour and a half drive. Public transport options on Skye are limited so it is highly recommend you have access to transport. Ord is a very small village with no facilities but this is what makes it so peaceful here. You'll still be within a few miles of cafes, eateries, 2 shops and a number of public houses/restaurants. The nearest town, Broadford is 16 miles away and there you will find a co-op, petrol station, eateries, public houses, cafes and some quirky shops. There is also a hospital and GP service there.
