Placed within the edge of a woodland, the lodge has three spaces. Awake in a gorgeous comfy double bed with private views to the woodland. Shower to freshen up in the fully equipped en-suite. Move through to the kitchen to enjoy a hearty breakfast to start the day, or head out to a local bistro café. As your stresses drift away and you relax into nature, you can be sure to see an abundance of wildlife. To the tune of birds singing watch closely as the resident roe deer graze nearby. Buzzards flying high and farm animals grazing the paddocks. The historic village of Scalby is only a short walk along the bridleway (walking boots or wellies may be required), where you will find local pubs to enjoy a beer garden with some tasty grub. As you find your bearings your will discover many adventures around Scarborough, and not to mention the whole reason for being here, the seaside. Both North and South Bay offer the perfect place to enjoy it, North Bay for a more peaceful affair, or head to South Bay for kiss me quick hats, penny slot machines, fish and chips, and all you can eat ice cream. Head up to the Castle and museum to revel in the history of the town. Scarborough Open Air Theatre can provide some great line ups, should you wish to dance the night away. Wykeham Lakes has the North Yorkshire Water Park for the kids, (and adults) to enjoy a water assault course and zip lining. Why not try swinging around in the trees 35 metres high at Go Ape in Dalby Forest. Or, take it steady and enjoy some glorious walks. After a exciting day out and you’ve made your way back to the farm, make your way out onto the raised decking to sit and relax take in the views and sounds of nature. As the night closes in and the sun sets over the hill the dark skies really starts to twinkle as the stars light up the sky. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to see the northern lights, or make a wish upon a shooting star.
We love creating spaces for people to relax and enjoy their time here at the farm. Sharing this place with people and hearing their feedback is what drives us to deliver a unique location for people to enjoy.
Located on a quiet rural farm, 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk from the historic seaside town of Scarborough and the many surrounding villages of interest. Close to the great Dalby Forest and within the North Yorks Moors National Park, Little Lodge is perfectly positioned to explore all that is to offer along the Yorkshire Coastline. Book in at Alpamare Water Park and Spa Retreat or head off out to the forest and moors for a day filled of fresh air. Scarborough itself has two gorgeous traditional seaside bays, North Bay for a more quiet day, or South Bay for fish and chips the amusement arcades or a stroll round the fishing harbour. Little Lodge is located 2 mins from Scalby a village full of history with some wonderful eateries and pubs. A bridle way runs though the farm with access to the village and the forestry, so leave the car and make your way on foot.
