A charming cottage set in the beautiful countryside of the Limousin, an area of unspoiled natural beauty and rich history. This idyllic landscape of green rolling hills and lush forests surprises visitors with its magnificent medieval castles and picturesque villages. Whether you are into hiking, cycling, fishing, sunbathing on the beach of our local lake or just like to relax on the terrace and enjoy the views, Belle Vue cottage is an ideal place to stay.
My wife and I moved to France a few years ago and love the life and way of living. We spent time renovating our barn and gite and now welcome others to enjoy this lovely area.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, with easy access to walking and cycling routes (this year the Tour de France passes just a few miles from the cottage) the area also has many lakes ideal for fishing, swimming or just sunbathing. Steeped in local history there is much to experience, including about Richard the Lionheart - only 15 mins away is Chateau Montbrun, where he died and a further 10 mins away the town and castle remains of Chalus where he was shot by an arrow - view the hidden camps of the brave fighters of the resistance of WW2, come walk through the woods see how they lived, please just ask for details.
