This guest house in situated between the idyllic villages of Saupsdorf and Hinterhermsdorf, surrounded by scenic countryside in the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Kräuterbaude features free parking as well as a barbecue and children's playground, The contemporary-style rooms at the Kräuterbaude all include a flat-screen TV, table, chairs, direct-dial telephone and a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries. The light-filled restaurant serves delicious Saxon specialities and German cuisine, refined with local herbs. Guests can go on herb-discovery walks and do outdoor cooking classes from May until October each year. The restaurant looks out on the terrace with its view of open countryside. Guests can book guided tours through the national parks Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland. The Kräuterbaude has ski storage space and guests can rent cross-country skis at the property. An array of activities are offered in the area, such as skiing, horse riding and hiking. The guest house is near the Czech border, a 25-minute drive from Bad Schandau and a 1-hour drive from Dresden.
