Mons will probably evoke WW1 for most British readers. It has however been witness to many more battles than that, and if it remembers the presence of British and German troops in 1914, it is also proud of vestiges dating back to the Romans. Mons is also a town of tradition and it's celebrations of “Lumeçon” and “Le Car d'Or” highlight these traditions.

Our Flats features 16 luxurious and fully equipped apartments and rooms, each specially adapted to our guests’ requirements. Mons Townhall In Gothic style, having been built between 1458 and 1477. The Belfry It stands 270 feet high. It is listed as a World Heritage Site Unesco. The Collegiate Church of Sainte-Waudru 15 th to 17 th century - Gothic style of Brabant. It contains some splendid 16 th c. alabaster statues by Jacques Du Broeucq. The treasury of the Collegiate Church is one of the most beautiful collections of gold and silverware in Belgium (12 th - 19 th c.) Van Gogh's house Van Gogh lived for some time in Mons before moving on to Provence. His house, an authentic and preserved environment, now houses a permanent exhibition of reproductions and an audio-visual show in various languages (EN, F, NL, D).
