This family-run 4-star hotel is located in the picturesque pilgrimage town of Maria Taferl in Lower Austria, only a few steps away from the famous basilica. The large, south-facing terrace offers panoramic views of the Danube and the Alps. Hotel Rose's rooms come with a TV, a safe, and a bathroom. Some have a balcony and views of the Danube River. International and regional dishes, as well as refined wines from the Wachau, are served at the restaurant, at the brasserie and at the traditional castle cellar. In fair weather you can also dine on the terrace. The Rose Hotel is a certified fasting hotel and offers fasting cures. The Maria Taferl-Wachau Golf Course is only a few minutes’ walk away. The Danube Bike Path is in the immediate vicinity. Hotel Rose is an ideal starting point for excursions to the Wachau Valley, for scenic cruises on the Danube, and for hikes and bicycle tours along the Danube or in the Waldviertel region.
