Letto comodo, ottima posizione, la vista dell'alba al mattino era spettacolare, membri dello staff molto simpatici. La struttura offre un sacco di servizi gratuiti (biliardo, freccette, ping pong, cinema etc), c'era anche una gattina meravigliosa.

Situated in Marahau, Kanuka Ridge Lodge is a short drive to the beach, the cafes, restaurants and the start of the Abel Tasman National Park. Free unlimited WiFi and private parking. Everything was fantastic! Our cabin was small, but very comfortable and clean, with a lovely terrace at the back amidst the green jungle. It was nice to have our private bathroom and toilet. The communal kitchen was super convenient and well kept, with indoor and outdoor places to sit and eat. The location of the lodge is superb. Very quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. No traffic to hear, just birds and cicades. What we also found a great plus is that Kanuka Ridge Lodge - with only 8 rooms - is not a big place. The atmosphere is very friendly and easygoing. The lodge is very well run and looked after by Mr. Stu (the always happy owner), who can give you all the information you would like to know about the Abel Tasman NP, with good advices about day walks and ferry transfers to/from starting/finishing points too. This was one of the lodges we liked the most during our whole trip in New Zealand.

The Barn is in a lovely location right next to the start of the Abel Tasman with lovely sunrise views. Our group of five stayed in a four bed room and a single room. Both rooms were comfortable. Although they were small they were adequate for our requirements and priced appropriately. The single room was especially nice and came with a towel. We appreciated the communal areas and the friendliness of other people staying there. It was possible to start a soccer game with other visitors, for example. Kitchen areas are well supplied and large and the bathrooms clean. The on-site caravan producing delicious baguettes was also a bonus. We also used the parking area while we explored the Abel Tasman NP and had no problems.

Charming hidden gem tucked away from the main road, if you are getting away from the busy city vibe, this is the place to be. Jonathan was there to greet us even though we were late.
