Our stay at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery was lovely. We arrived a bit late, but the staff were still there to welcome us and check us in. We decided to try the Italian restaurant ‘Small Restaurant Sae’ just up the street, and it did not disappoint. The property is also within a 6-minute drive to a FamilyMart. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast and coffee in the morning were delicious. We ran into the property owner, Craig, as we were leaving, and he was very kind and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. We would definitely stay at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery on our next trip to Tanigawa!

It was one of the best hostels I stayed in! The crew is super kind, and we had a good talk! Loved the ability to ask for a shuttle to the place and to the train station, even though the train station itself has annoying hours. For every night you stay, you get a drink card since it's also a bar, but they can make coffee too! The room was great, had everything needed, place to eat, work if needed, a great bathroom, and showers. Enjoyed my stay the whole time! 本当に楽しかった！

Tami is a true artist and has created an amazing workspace and I am so glad that I chose here rather than staying in a conventional hotel and hiding away in my room …there was always someone to chat to downstairs or I could escape and study upstairs. I met so many wonderful people and Tami San was exceptional. She cooked me nabe on my last night there.

It was an old house turned into a dormitory. The bed was comfortable, but creaked every time I moved. I thought it would break. There were a few sift spots in the floor, which made me think the house is on its last legs.
