We planned to stay here 2 nights but extended to stay two more nights.

Two nights stay in the town of Cotacachi during Inti Raymi was magnificent. The hostel, combined with a brewery, was our home from home, just seven minutes walk from the plaza. Comfortable, secure, with an outdoor common area to relax and enjoy the cats and dogs, and the beer. Our room was big with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed many conversations with Roger and Melena, both so helpful. We should have stayed longer.

Location super centrale, a due quadre dalla piazza dove c’è il mercato tutti i giorni. Diego c’è venuto a prendere con la loro auto un SUV grande e di Classe, in aeroporto. Il prezzo di 60 $ è lo stesso che fanno tutti. Ci ha dato un’infinità di consigli estremamente utili. La colazione è abbondante e varia, incluso nel prezzo della camera. La camera è grande, pulita con lenzuola bianche così come gli asciugamani e il bagno pulitissimo. Se tutto questo lo paghi 20 € all’ora è veramente un affare più unico che raro! Breakfast consisted of eggs, fruit, coffee, juice and a sandwich, all very good. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. I felt safe walking during the day to the main cathedral and parque. The natural beauty of the area is a plus, as Ibarra is surrounded by beautiful mountains.

The place offers good, cheap private rooms with a balcony and comfy beds, while still maintaining a hostel vibe, with many backpackers gathering in the kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need if you wanna cook, and the rooftop is one of the most beautiful I've seen. I ended up extending my stay over and over again. The place is located a bit outside the main area. I generally think that it's an advantage, because people who stayed at the center complained about noise. All the important places are within walking distance, though you get a bit tired of taking this route every time. The staff was friendly and happy to help with finding attractions, arranging taxis and other issues that I have. No English, but a lot of experience with non-Spanish speakers like me
