The weather wasn’t kind to us but we did get one morning when we were able to do the tea experience. The best part for me was the food - they prepared some wonderful gluten free Sri Lankan meals for me which was the best food I had in our 3 week trip. Dave is very engaging and we enjoyed our chats with him.

We only had one night here. Beautiful location. dinner was a delicious classic Sri Lankan meal and breakfast was a great omelette cooked up by the wonderful Ashoka. The views are spectacular from the top of the hill. Also great view from the pool. Christo was also very welcoming and made our stay as comfortable as possible. He also took us on a bush walk around the property showing us all the different plants, herbs and fruits. If you’re lucky like we were you may spot a few wild elephants as well as the roam the hills around the property.

Sarath and his wife Deepthi are the most delightful hosts. We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home in the jungle. We had a steam massage (highly recommended) and Sarath took us for walks around his spice plantation. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and chill, and you are looked after so well. Deepthi’s cooking is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Very attentive and nice staff. Breakfast and dinner were great and tasty. The morning walk was so enjoyable. The reading room had even a nice puzzle which we made. Nice swimming pool. Aia ja aiavaatega Irene's Home asub Matales, 27 km kaugusel Kandy City Center ostukeskusest ja 28 km kaugusel Sri Dalada Maligawast. Majutusasutusel on terrass ja tasuta eraparkla. We have booked this place for our first night in Sri Lanka. The owner met us on arrival. As it was everything new to us, we had a good few questions and owner couldn't be more than helpful. He advised us on the places we can visit, where to exchange money etc. Communications been very clear. The house is located within working distance to the very busy town, but in the very quiet area, so we had a very good sleep 😁 If you are looking to visit Matale and looking to stay near by highly recommend to stay at this property 👍 This was a first time we saw the monkeys 🤣🤣

Friendly and trusted staffs. They provided everything what we asked. Facilities are as per the details provided at the time of booking. Even though I paid extra day as check out time is 11am and I left the facility at 6pm, they refunded my extra day payment.

The cottage was spotless upon arrival, and the cleanliness was impressive throughout. The ambience felt cozy and inviting, like a true home away from home, with thoughtful decor that enhanced the warmth of the space. The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive and made us feel welcome, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beautiful surroundings to the excellent upkeep, every detail was carefully attended to. Highly recommended for a peaceful family getaway
