Super friendly family and easy to communicate with. We stayed 2 nights and went to Passukudah beach. Advice to have dinner and breakfast because they cook great.

This place is twice as nice as the Ubay Homestay I stayed at in Trincomalee for which I paid much more - $30 per night. What's better about it, besides the lower price, is: More spacious, more modern room Fewer bugs (really hardly any) Larger, less smelly bathroom Much quieter setting. Instead of being in the middle of a bunch of other places, including a loud hostel next door, as Ubay was, this place is in a wide open, peaceful setting, the only close neighbor a church. Better breakfast at the same price - 1300 Free, filtered water A larger staff, very attentive, but unobtrusive, only there when you need them The two beaches nearby are quieter and less crowded Much thanks to Usha, the owner's wife, who speaks excellent English. She welcomed me graciously with fresh coconut water and gave me another one when I left.

Perfect location to both beautiful beaches. Room was comfy with nice bathroom and AC. The food was exceptional and carefully customized to my food allergies. The owner went above and beyond helping me with things. Even loaned me a bike to get around town.

The place Coastal Villa in Kallady, Batticaloa turned out to be one of the most beautiful places we've been in Sri Lanka. Very calm and outstanding clean. Not only the room and the atmosphere but especially the householder Jutha and his family were taking the best care of everything I needed. For us it was a real pleasure to stay there on our Journey. If you have the chance to stay there, just do it, nobody would regret. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing and huge by the way. I highly recommend Coastal Villa is suitable for guests.
