Ideally set in the centre of Anuradhapura, Lake House Home Stay offers free WiFi, a garden and free private parking for guests who drive. Rohan and his family were welcoming and accommodating from the minute we arrived. It was truly like being part of their family the way they looked after us. The location was great and peaceful, and we were fed the most delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners…. Not to mention free drinking water to refill your bottles. It felt like coming home after a day of exploration to pure relaxation. We were sad to leave, and as we did we were given a parting gift, which was so special. Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. The hosts were exceptionally kind, always ready to assist and make sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place

The photos truly don’t do justice to the beauty and comfort of the room – it far exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The owner and the entire team were incredibly warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my trip was unforgettable. They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park. Highly recommended for the location, hospitality, and overall experience!

Tasuta jalgrataste ja aiavaatega Wilpattu Mookalan Resort asub Habawewas, 38 km kaugusel Kumbichchan Kulama Tankist ja 39 km kaugusel Jaya Sri Maha Bodhist. Great location. Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.

The room was spacious and clean. Each room has its own terrace, and there’s also plenty of seating in the beautiful garden. Every morning, we had breakfast in the treehouse overlooking the lake. Gamini and his wife are such lovely hosts. He picked us up from the train station, organized a safari and an Ayurveda treatment for us, and took us on a tour to see Sigiriya/Pidurangala Rock and the temples in Dambulla. His wife prepared delicious dinners and breakfasts for us. They always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The Wi-Fi was also good.

Swan Lake Habarana asub Pidurangala kaljult 12 km kaugusel ning pakub konditsioneeriga majutust koos terrassiga. Kohapeal on restoran, tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. The property was lovely and serene. Kalahara, the host, was just exceptional. He does not overlook a single detail and he is gracious and willing to share excellent suggestions with you. I loved that he walked me through his garden, pointing out all of the unique trees and plants he has.

Golden Ray villa asub Anuradhapura kesklinnas. Villal on terrass, konditsioneer, tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja lameekraaniga televiisor. Aiavaatega majutusasutusel on rõdu. The staff was amazing, I never met more helpfull and nice people at a hotel. The room is big, clean and the beds are great. Breakfast was really good.

Aia ja terrassiga Meegahapokuna Resort asub Anuradhapura kesklinnast 4,4 km kaugusel. Külalistemajal on privaatne sissepääs, et muuta peatumise ajal mugavamaks. Külalistemajas on peretoad. Nice owner family. Delicious curry leave drink.

Aia ja aiavaatega Oleena Home Stay asub Habaranas, 11 km kaugusel Pidurangala kaljult ja 12 km kaugusel Sigiriya kaljult. Kohapeal on restoran, tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. I spent three nights at Oleena Homestay and had an amazing experience. Jeewa provided great recommendations for things to do in the area, helped organise transport, and even took me on a day trip to Pidurangala and Dambulla in his tuk tuk. The home-cooked meals by Masha were absolutely delicious — a perfect introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Jeewa and Masha truly went above and beyond to take care of their guests. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Habarana and the surrounding area.
