Hostal Hansi is in Bocas del Toro, 17 minutes' walk from El Istmito Beach. It is 50 meters from the docks. All rooms are private, some have a terrace, TV, air conditioning and hot water. Hostal Hansi is very well situated in Bocas' center, 30 m to water taxis, a lot of restaurants and supermarkets around, 100 m to buses to the beaches. Very practical. There's a new owner since 8 months who strives to improve all the equipments. I had a double deluxe room, good size with new ventilator on the ceiling and air condition, a small terrace with table and 2 chairs, some coat hangers, nightstand. The large double bed is comfortable, also the pillows. The bathroom has a good size with hot shower and shelves. The common kitchen has 2 sinks and 2 gas stoves, so we can be cooking all together at the same time. The fridge is very clean. There is inside a place with a number corresponding to your room. There are 2 tables and chairs near the reception and some tables and chairs outside on a large terrace facing the street. Good vibe. All tourists and owner very friendly. My favourite beach on Bocas del Toro: Bluff beach. To go to Boquete I recommend the trip boat and shuttle via Chiriqui grande better than Almirante. Buy the ticket at Pana Bocas officina next to the police station 50 m from Hansi.

La Tesoro Escondido Guest House si trova a Bluff Beach, a 5 km da Bocas Town e a 26 km da Buena Vista. In loco troverete un bar. We had a great stay and the food was delicious. The property is a few minutes from the town, in a lovely setting. The hosts worked hard to make a great stay for everyone.

The lodge is beautifully tucked away in the rainforest, surrounded by vibrant wildlife and the serene sounds of nature. The accommodation was stunning — open-air, thoughtfully designed, and deeply connected to the environment. Every detail feels intentional, from the comfortable beds to breathtaking views of the forest, to having privacy from other rooms, to having two hammocks, to toilet paper holders ;). It’s the perfect balance of charm and comfort. The food and drinks deserve their own spotlight. Most ingredients are grown right on the property (even the pepper on the table and hot sauce are so), and every meal (and also the non-alcoholic drinks) is fresh and absolutely delicious. Dining at La Loma is more than a meal — it’s an experience and you’ve even got the best view of the bay ever from the restaurant. But what truly makes La Loma exceptional is the people. The hosts and staff are welcoming, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and chocolate farm. Their care for sustainability and respect for the environment shines through in everything they do. From hiking through the cacao farm and learning about chocolate-making to trying different local fruits and spotting sloths right from the restaurant, every moment was unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a stay — a place that connects you with nature and leaves you feeling inspired — La Loma Lodge is it. Without a doubt, one of the most remarkable travel experiences we’ve ever had. Make sure you stay a bit longer than we did, one night was definitely not enough.

The attention to detail and way the rooms and hotel grounds were carefully curated was so unique and beautiful. You could tell a lot of time and effort goes into making sure guests have a unique experience, and I surely did as part of my stay. The location was perfect and easy to get to the main island and other islands within Bocas - not to mention the views over the water were insanely beautiful. The breakfast options in the morning were terrific and all the staff were so helpful and thorough in their duties . The owners were amazing and helped with suggestions on activities, transportation, and overall everything that you needed to know to have a great experience. They were super friendly and helpful, and they made my experience so much better by being just really good people. I’ve already recommended Casa Aquario to friends and family, and I look to go back again in the future. 10 out of 10 experience.

Hotel Tierra Verde Bed and Breakfast offre una piscina all'aperto, un giardino, una zona spiaggia privata e una terrazza a Bocas del Toro. I had an amazing stay at Tierra Verde! A 3 minute walk from Caranero town and the closest supermarket, it is peaceful, and still only a 1 minute boat ride away from Bocas town, from the hotels own boat deck right out the front! The surf breaks are a 10 minute walk away! The room was homey and clean; and had all amenities one could need, towels, great AC, hot water, a wardrobe, a smart TV and even a key lock box on the door so keys can be stored safely when heading for a surf or swim! There is a beautiful garden with sea view and pool right out the front and a fully equipped kitchen to use for guests! The breakfast included is fresh, filling and delicious! But most of all, the manager Edgar and his whole team are extremely lovely! I felt welcome and well taken care of from the minute I arrived:) Will definitely be staying here again when returning to Caranero!

The place is magic, I ended up extending my stay and changing my plans because I felt at home! I loved the beautiful garden and how quiet the place is! Close to the centre but far enough to enjoy peace and nature. The host and the staff are cheerful and welcoming, always available to help and give you tips to discover the islands. I would definitely come back and recommend to stay here!

This lovely place is located on the island of Bastimentos, less than 15 minutes away from the main island by speed boat. It has great views of the ocean from any of the cabinas! I had the best view from my private cabina with a private bathroom. I loved the abundance of fruit trees available (starfruit, banana 🍌, coconut 🥥). My cabina was spacious, and I love having windows 🪟; there were 3 in my cabina, and one was over the bed that opened completely to the freshness of nature. Simon is very nice and welcoming. He helped me tremendously when I needed a little cash until I got back to the mainland. He was attentive to other requested needs of fixing the plumbing and cleaning the kitchen when I suggested it. Simon suggested I visit Playa Estrella by bus, which was very affordable ($5 round trip). It was a lovely day spent there, and I saw 6 starfish. I ate the best meal of the five nights I spent in Bocas - the best red snapper of my life, and I could actually taste the coconut milk in the Caribbean rice & beans with a nice fresh salad 😋 from the first restaurant after you exit the bus 🚌. I love Florindo, the maintenance guy! He was very helpful to me with whatever I needed. If you see a Jamaican lady (Chi-chi) selling Plantain tarte from her porch, you should try some. She's kept her grandmother's original recipe, and it's been the best I've ever eaten. She only makes them a couple of times a week, so get it when you see her. Also, there's an Indian woman who you may find sitting at the bridge near the Jamaican's home selling coco bread; it is also delicious 😋. I wished I'd bought the entire pack.
