Set in Colombo on a private peninsula by the banks of the historic Diyawanna Lake, Aathma Colombo House provides accommodation with a garden. Beautiful property in a tranquil spot by the river, wonderful service and such friendly staff. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more! We arrived early in the day and were offered breakfast and they were also able to have our room ready early, which was fantastic! Can't recommend Aathma Colombo House enough. We had a few hours exploring Colombo and it was quick to get to the city by Tuk Tuk.

Everything was excellent, particularly the service — everyone was kind and courteous. The breakfast is exceptional, with plenty of options, and the food is fresh. I couldn't recommend it any further. If you come to Sri Lanka, you can trust this place to welcome you.

A few steps from Mount Lavinia Beach, MountBaylk is a recently renovated property set in Mount Lavinia and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The Mount Bay Guesthouse became our second home! We stayed there twice during our stay in Sri Lanka - 2 minutes away from the beach. At our arrival the owners Steph and Sam welcomed us with open hearts and hospitality at its best! The rooms are very clean, the service is excellent and in the guesthouse has also a nice restaurant with the best and friendliest chef. Sam is also doing his own chili sauce, so spice lovers can just ask for a little extra spice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The new menu is excellent, good portioned and the food tastes like heaven. I can really recommend the whole fish - super fresh and spicy! The whole staff was super nice and helped us with anything from transfers or recommendations for things to do! We became instant friends and discovered so many things in common. They even took us to the pool at the Mount Lavinia Hotel and introduced us to their friends. We had an incredibly good time and laughed a lot. That‘s why they invited us for their NYE party at the rooftop of the guesthouse (free entry), which has an excellent view on the beach. Amazing people, tasty food, good music and a nice view on the fireworks - what a blast! Thank you, dear Sam and Steph! You and your guesthouse have touched our hearts! Keep this spirit up and hope to see you soon! This was definitely not our last visit!

Hiljuti renoveeritud IGN Residence Colombo asub Colombos Bambalapitiya ranna, Bambalapitiya raudteejaama ja Barefoot galerii lähedal. Looking for history without kitsch I discovered this discrete Guesthouse . Away from the crowds of Colombo, the spacious room and antique charm gave me a fantastic rest after exploring Sri Lanka’s capital. With all the qualities of a classic hotel I could enjoy style and comfort while maintaining the privacy of home.

Amazing place. Peace and quiet, you can see a Buddhist stupa from the window. Wonderful cozy room with shower and toilet. On the second floor there is a very comfortable common lounge area for work or rest. Wonderful friendly owners. I highly recommend this place and I will gladly come back here!
